QUOTE(n20nine @ Oct 8 2023, 10:59 PM) Hi guys, what is a good Wifi 6/6E mesh router to use? I have a very large condo. I have been a long time TIME user however in recent times, there are many drop outs, esp at night and night performance is terrible. I have called TIME and they claimed to have reboot my connection on their end. It did improve but the drop outs and slow performance is still there. My current TP LINK mesh router is Wifi 5 so thought of upgrading anyhow. My condo is just a bit under 1.3k sqf. Have been using a pair of Asus Zenwifi XT8 with my Time 500mbps line without any issue since 2020. If your condo is much larger maybe can consider the Zenwifi Pro XT12? https://www.androidcentral.com/accessories/...6e-mesh-routersThis post has been edited by kmrdeva: Oct 9 2023, 08:17 AM

Call time support and request for bridge mode. Then set up PPPoE on your TP-Link, no vlan/ISP profile needed.

LAN1 from the Huawei to Wan port on my new router? Edited: Just contacted CS, they say my modem cannot change to bridge mode. This post has been edited by DeepMemory: Oct 9 2023, 03:24 PM

Does anyone know if I can use a different router like TP ax73 or mercusys mr90 and link the HG8145X6 as slave mesh or they aren't compatible with each other? I'm connecting via a different hg8240h ONT modem.

QUOTE(Doomsday @ Oct 5 2023, 08:56 PM) Poor performance I can understand. But explaining technical details to their level 3 support they also don't understand. How to troubleshoot? They only blame the next hop to Singapore that caused the packets to drop and nothing they can do. I already fed up after mcmc process. This week is the termination week for allo/city bodoband (whatever you called) I can jump to TIME by this week if no blockage... They hired quite a number of time staffs over....

Do you mean the dropouts & slow performance only happens at night ?

Edited: Just contacted CS, they say my modem cannot change to bridge mode. Actually u can change the mode inside if u know how to login into Webgui of HG8145X6 . If u call CS , their ppl need to remote login into it and change mode after that u will hv no internet connection and u need to setup new router dail up PPPOE

I remember back in 2018 when other ISPs announced their reduced price and TIME hasn't yet. And later it turned out that TIME reduced the price of 100 Mbps from RM149 to RM 99 which beats all other telco all these years until recently
I hope that TIME will do the same this time
