Poor performance I can understand. But explaining technical details to their level 3 support they also don't understand. How to troubleshoot?
They only blame the next hop to Singapore that caused the packets to drop and nothing they can do.

I already fed up after mcmc process. This week is the termination week for allo/city bodoband (whatever you called)

I can jump to TIME by this week if no blockage...

Most ISP in Malaysia only guarantee performance up to MyIX, there's no SLA for anything else. tongue.gif

TIME is the only one that strive to provide excellent service.

Cool, good to know.

But did you have to re-contract?
*
Yeah re-contract for another 2 years. Not sure will take the offer. Since they didnt give me new modem and router.

I hoping tomorrow they would came out with some new package.

I pending to apply Time fiber at another housing. Already terminate with incompetent Allo /city bodoband.

Funny thing is I was having issue with TIME international routing back in June and January. Showed them evidence from my cloud provider that TIME is intentionally slowing down traffic and they refuse to do anything and kept blaming my cloud provider. Only when it was escalated to higher ups, only then they apologized and say cannot do anything about it. Switched to Allo after doing a bit of digging in regards to their upstream provider and slowness issue was immediately resolved.

Hahah that's weird. Prolly their customer service already "slowly"
improving.
Btw how did you escalated to their upstream provider?

*
No. I did not manage to escalate to any upstream provider as they will never respond to our emails. Only managed to escalate to the head of TIME CS where they finally admitted its their fault.

In regards to why I switched to Allo from TIME, I did a comparison between my cloud provider upstream provider and Allo's upstream provider and found one matching upstream provider, Cogent.

Ran a few traceroute and Speedtest.net CLI with help of my cloud provider, compared the results and found Allo & TM did not have the slowness issue. The most important thing for me is routing from US to Allo does not go through Singtel unlike TIME.

Below are some of the tests I ran from my end to cloud provider to Malaysia ISP. Since we are testing from Cloud Provider to Malaysia ISP, need to pay attention to their upload speed as this reflects our download speed.

I was just called and got the same offer.

I straight up said no. They said ok tq.

So I guess that’s their best offer

Hi, my contract expire on Nov 2023 and i received call from TIME today to renew the contract. They offered cash back another RM10 (which gonna total up =RM20) or change router and forfeit RM20 cash back.

I am still currently using the old cube mesh router by TIME few years back. Should I change route by TIME or take the cash back and buy router myself?

P/S: Would like to upgrade the router abit as current 1 performance so so, coverage quite weak.

AND any recommended router? IM currently on 500mbps plan.

I just say yes..because that internet for tenants..huhu

How is the internet quality of TIME fibre now?

I have an option to install either TIME or Unfii for my house. For 100Mbps, TIME is slightly more expensive but free 6 months subscription. Unifi customer service not impressed me, they took 1 hour for them to confirm my area also have Unifi Fibre.

From my Experience so far so good, TIME 100mbps is Download/Upload, Unifi 100mbps is for Download and 50mbps for Upload

Thanks for your prompt reply.

How about down time?

I heard stories that TIME had regular down time, sometimes up to few hours. I am more worry about that than upload speed.

My current Unifi ADSL rarely have down time. If so, just few minutes.

I've been using for almost 2 months now. I didn't get any downtime yet. My friend has been using it for a few years now, so far I didn't hear any downtime from him either.

This is my 10th months with TIME, so far 0 downtime.

Been using TIME for 4 years.

First 3 years was fine, never had any downtime.

However, I am unlucky this year as they had a fiber cut and it took them over 2 days to solve it. Several condo in my area is down.

It will depends on your luck.

My experience with time since May

There was 1 day outage not long after sign up
They sent an email saying they were going to do maintenance around midnight and it was only going to last 4 hours
Unfortunately I guess something went wrong since it lasted until 6pm

And other time the maintenance went as scheduled

Hi guys, what is a good Wifi 6/6E mesh router to use? I have a very large condo. I have been a long time TIME user however in recent times, there are many drop outs, esp at night and night performance is terrible. I have called TIME and they claimed to have reboot my connection on their end. It did improve but the drop outs and slow performance is still there. My current TP LINK mesh router is Wifi 5 so thought of upgrading anyhow.
