Beware, those are actually middle man 3rd party agents pretending to be TM sales department. Some netizens here alr shared their experience. Those ppl get commision from every new deals made.

I suggest u be patient 1st. It might also be a wait n see approach from TM side to see if u take the bait. Ya, they are that cunning. I assure u they will offer u a "no string attached" transition to unifi lite, for free and no compromise required from u, no commitment period renewal eventually. As for telephone number, some said rm25 monthly 2 maintain, some said rm1? Some said will be ported to unifi fiber line... im not sure, last time i just potong and get a new unifi phone number under fiber line. U never know one day u will get 100M no string attached too for rm8x if u have fiber infra one day. U may try your luck lodging skmm complain on TM saying they refuse to give u unifi lite for free w/o requiring something in return from u.

The trend ive seen from the past is that TM try as hard as possible to make the plans that most people will sign up above Rm100, 3 figures. TM is reluctant on offering deals below RM100, they are that greedy. Even until now after gomen intervention, they are still reluctant on price reduction, want to suck and leech to the last mile like a parasite.
*
Can we request his/her staff ID before they verify us our account? laugh.gif Since it is phone conversation, we cannot see face by face... TM think that customer is not the owner while customer think this TM CS is either from outsource or not legit staff one..

Sometimes in TM Live chat, they seems like no knowledge and give silly answer.. I'm not sure they purposely don't want to assist you or want to halau you cepat "End Chat" and next customers please..

I realize they comes out 3 or 4 packages, but at least have 5 or above pricing with same packages.. Just the worst thing gomen does not control the fixed price like rice and salt daily food expenses...

I have lodged a complaint with MCMC on 16th Oct and today I rec'd the reply through e-mail.

We refer to your complaint which was received through Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) dated 16 October 2018.

Firstly, our appreciation for bringing this matter to our attention and sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Regards on Streamyx pricing issue, we understand your situation and please be assured that we are currently planning for upgrade works all around the country that will enable Malaysians to enjoy high speed broadband. As this takes time, the roll-out will be done progressively. You will be updated of the latest offerings and progress through announcements and communication once it is made available in the near future.

We hope the above explanation clarifies on the matter. Once again, we are really sorry for the inconveniences. We wish to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued patience and understanding as well as extend our appreciation for your continuous support to TM. For further enquiries or feedback, chat with us at https://unifi.com.my for fast and reliable online assistance. Alternatively, you may tweet us at twitter.com/helpmeunifi, leave your comments at our Facebook page facebook.com/weareunifi or enjoy self-service assistance through TM Self Help website at http://tm.com.my/selfhelp. We look forward to serve you better.

Btw the complaint is about maintaining my streamyx 1Mbps price of RM110 to upgrade to unifi 10Mbps. I demanded price reduction to RM88 or upgrade to 100Mbps at RM110.

My reply:-

Dear xxxx xxxx

Please do not give me such nonsense by the book reply without understanding the nature of complaint.

I m not complaining on the streamyx pricing but the upgrading to unifi speed and price.

I am expecting a favourable reply to my complaint.

Posted in other thread but no response. So, i noticed back in my kampung where the copper is pretty bad, they upgraded from basically 2 to 4Mbps (actual speed in modem is 2.5 to 5). My question is, back at my place, the line is pretty good. I'm on Unifi Lite 10Mbps but seems like it's capable of doing 90Mbps/50Mbps max so i figure eh they could easily double my speed to 20Mbps. Any of you guys got an upgrade or have to wait forever for fiber?

We should complain:

It is my understanding that TM are currently planning for upgrade works all around the country that will enable customers to enjoy high speed broadband. And as the process takes time, the roll-out is being done progressively.

Although I understand that I will be updated of the latest offerings and progress through announcements and communication should unifi be made available in the near future, I would like to complain

How come just RM80? Were u on the train of 1Mbps@RM80?

Got people paying RM110 and RM129 for exactly the same thing as you...

Let u choose, vip10 w/o RM149 or unifi lite w/ hypptv @rm80, which 1 do u prefer?

5 pages in, can anyone actually tell me:

1. Did any Streamyx user in an existing UNIFI area actually got upgraded to UNIFI for free?

2. If yes to no. 1, then what is the UNIFI package that you got upgraded to? The 30mbps with 60gb quota at RM79 price or the 30mbps with no quota at RM129?

3. What is the price that you have to pay? Does the price stay the same as your existing Streamyx fees? Some Streamyx users have a perpetual discount applied. Is this perpetual discount maintained?

4. Or does the price you have to pay is maintained for a period of time only, say 1-2 years and revert back to the retail price say RM129 at the end of the 2 years contract.

Some simple questions really, but I don't see LYN or Soya Cincau actually making the effort to find out the answers. They just copy and paste the announcements from TM without finding out the actual process.

If anyone that has actually gone through the process, any feedback posted here or PM'd to me, would be much appreciated!

Finally, someone with some concrete answer. rclxms.gif

Just a few more questions then:
1. Installation fees? Did you have to pay for the standard installation or is it really totally free?

2. For point no. 4, can you log into UNIFI and check your plan?
It should show something like the below:
Promo Discount Perpetual
Promo Discount RMXX

3. Last one, did you ask for the upgrade or did they just call to upgrade you? There's the Streamyx upgrade page, where you can ask them to upgrade to UNIFI but the terms and conditions are vague as to pricing.

Many thanks to you and hope to hear your reply soon. notworthy.gif

It depends on how the fibre optic cable "installation" into your house. Some prefer to the cable to go thru ceiling (additional charges).

1. I mean the standard installation, was it free? The add-on, understandable if you had to pay extra.

2. Point no 2, em... typo? Didn't really answer my question.

3. Ah, I see biggrin.gif
