I just check mine, it say Unifi to my area soon. Sound like bull shit. Want to hear from other screamyx users are we getting all same answer (standard answer) or really have different answer.

There are three outputs:

1) Congratulation, eligible for free upgrade
2) Coming soon ---> equivalent to "nope, no free upgrade for you"
3) Sorry, we will work hard to bring service, technological limitation etc.

I asked a Live Chat Customer Service, they said free upgrade from streamyx to unifi is only 10Mbps and the price you have to pay is Unknown atm which will last only 12 months.

sounds nice. so if you are paying RM66 for 1mbps streamyx and landed, will be upgraded to 100mbps unifi for free and pay RM66 forever? lots of unifi users gonna really jelly and flip tables now.

I checked mine it says Unifi is coming to my area. Funny thing is that Unifi is already present in my area.

tell them since 100mbps is now RM129. 10 times slower means monthly fee should be 10 times less lor.

I don't think TM has the power or will to demand every "taman" or high rise building to upgrade their own infrastructure to support fibre internet. Then again, it is not their responsibility to upgrade infrastructure which they do not own.

So TM can announce something like this, but if building owners don't care to upgrade their own infrastructure, Streamyx subscribers will still get stuck with outdated & expensive internet from the pre-PH era.

In the end, the announcement made TM look good in the eyes of the relevant ministry without actually doing anything and most importantly , can still milk those unfortunate Streamyx subscribers who don't have any other options.

This all about tm only nothing to do with past or present government..even minister had changed and raised the issues many times, tm still act like a king..tm still clever swing the tactics..minister need to act hardly and put much pressure to tm, then tm will a bit afraid..for this kind of surprise, i remember last time tm give us thank you surprise, streamyx users get rubbish webe and hyppotv..plus this one not mention half the price or even tell what price they wanna give to us if migrate to unifi..

current package 1mb streamyx with rm80 free upgrade to 10mb unifi..
price remain and upgrade installation date unknow till further notices

worth? or better direct move to maxis rm 89 with 30 mb

Request unifi since 2013. Check again 2016. Now 2018.....

TM really know how to kencing ppl... My area got unifi 5yr oredi.. When I check status.. I got same msg "unifi is coming to your area".. Mcb.. No free upgrade.. No reduce price.. Where got at least 25% reduction in price.. Last time X10 oredi kosong.. This time oso kosong.. Hamkaling pkm tm
