QUOTE(island0806 @ Oct 30 2018, 08:09 AM) morning all, any tenda ac18 owner here ? i'm using it for past 2 mths. compared to unifi given TPLink AC1200. Heaps and tons in terms of stability and speed.i would like know more on this router wifi coverage performance Better 5GHz signal strength, 2.4GHz is about the same. I'm on 100mbps plan and now I can get close to it even on 2.4GHz band which was previously not possible. 1 floor above still easily 70mbps. I stay in a 2 storey terrace. I didn't want to spend big bucks on Asus / TPLink routers. Cost me 250 through shopee via OOKAS. This post has been edited by laytiong: Oct 30 2018, 08:47 AM |

QUOTE(iamwatchingYou @ Oct 29 2018, 09:29 PM) i think it's the other way around, tm pressured hence 1 month late from original plan.if not.. maybe same like me last year - delayed 3mths from original plan. well, as long as we get good connection.. not that bad compared to 7-8yrs' worth of streamyx. |

Yeah...years upon years of streamyx is torturing...2016 I saw they start tanam cable infront of my house for unifi...I was so happy back then...hoping that my place will have fibre in a few weeks. But nope. It turns out I have to wait more than 2 years. if not.. maybe same like me last year - delayed 3mths from original plan. well, as long as we get good connection.. not that bad compared to 7-8yrs' worth of streamyx. |

QUOTE(th3game @ Oct 30 2018, 07:55 AM) My PC is connected thru Prolink cat5e cable to a switch and the switch (tp link sg1024d) is then connected to my Asus RT-AC86U router. The WAN from BTU and LAN link speed to the switch shown as 1Gbps though. Okay, that means the bottleneck isn't your hardware. Might be your connection had been managed. |

Just got turbo-ed to 300Mbps last weekend… and got the chance to run the speed test when no one is using the internet. But the speed test is so cacat one. In fact connecting to New York server is much faster than in KL!??? How to tell if Unifi is giving us the promised speed?

This is probably due to Malaysian servers mostly did not cater for >100Mbps connection.Try with TM speedtest and Fast.com Both of them prepared to run test up to 1Gbps |

For some reason that server give the best DL/UP speed locally (it's the only one i can constantly hit 800mbps DL on LAN) |

Cannot simply say bro.Try with TM speedtest and Fast.com Both of them prepared to run test up to 1Gbps I tested with the same servers as per his screenshots (InNet, YTL) and was able to achieve 500Mbps/100Mbps. Along with most local and SG/Thai servers too. With the exception of the New York AT&T server like he did of course. And TM speedtest? It is based on OOKLA speedtest also, just that the server is TM. |

QUOTE(garbanicus @ Oct 30 2018, 11:17 AM) Cannot simply say bro. Then perhaps it is my home physical location or something.I tested with the same servers as per his screenshots (InNet, YTL) and was able to achieve 500Mbps/100Mbps. Along with most local and SG/Thai servers too. With the exception of the New York AT&T server like he did of course. And TM speedtest? It is based on OOKLA speedtest also, just that the server is TM. Cause TYL and InNet I usually get between 400 to 600 mbps. Only one can hit constantly 800mbps is Macro Lynx for "some" reason that I can't explain even though it is not usually the default speed test selection if you dont manually choose for it. TM Speed test server usually give me very bad results LOL. This post has been edited by Haruji Sora: Oct 30 2018, 11:26 AM |

just now TM techs came to replace my BTU. new one is HG8240h
if anyone remembers, last time I posted about some speedtests done on Vigor 2130n for a few unifi 800 accounts at my place and I was unable to hit max speed for this account, I tested on tm's speedtest page and managed to hit 800Mbps cpu usage spiked to as high as 98% though ![]() router: draytek vigor 2130n cat5e cable (from tplink) from router to BTU cat7 ugreen flat cable (20m) from router to my laptop (intel i5-4210u cpu) using ugreen usb3 to gigabit adapter This post has been edited by cannavaro: Oct 30 2018, 12:28 PM |

QUOTE(th3game @ Oct 30 2018, 07:02 AM) Hi Sifus, wt peer connection per torrent 1100? maybe that the reason why you only get around 200Mbps on torrent? try reduce connection peer per torrent to around 100-150 see it improve speed or not I have been upgraded to 500Mbps and want to try to torrent at full speed by downloading CentOS-7-x86_64-Everything-1804 torrent but seems like the download wasn't at full. My setting for utorrent client Listening port : 44588 Untick Apply rate limit to uTP connections Bandwidth already put max no of conn = 2200 Max peers to connected torrent = 1100 Untick Enable bandwidth management [uTP] but the speed seems averaged around ~200Mbps Just wanna know why ya?
