I thought someone here claimed that he'll get Turbo 800 though he's just applied for RM129 100Mbps, true or not?

QUOTE(billysiah @ Sep 20 2018, 05:32 PM) Hi, would like some advise. my unifi just got turbo-ed to 800mb. when i test the speed using LAN, i can get full speed. but Using wifi 5 GHZ i only can get around 200mb from iphone 10 speedtest. i am using asus ac68u router. Do i need to upgrade to better router to get higher speed on wifi? You should get more than that. My ‘crap’ C1200 give 380Mbps wireless. |

QUOTE(tsmin1989 @ Sep 21 2018, 11:33 PM) My unifi also upgrade to 800mbps but I can't get full speed even I change all my network cable to Cat 6. Have you tried the Speedtest using different devices? Gigabyte LAN preferably. My router is TP-Link AC1200 provide by TM ![]() My C1200 LAN recorded 890Mbps using android box H96 Pro+ , a bit faster than my MacBook Pro which gigabyte LAN is based on Thundebolt interface. |

QUOTE(luminaryxi @ Sep 22 2018, 09:41 PM) QUOTE(miloaisdino @ Sep 22 2018, 10:31 PM) Can just set the lan ip of the router to a different subnet and disable dhcp. Boom the router becomes a switch and a backup ap at the same time (i do that at home) Yes, me too. ‘Crap’ TPLink C1200 as the main router, and ‘Crap’ Dlink 850 as a gigabite network switch (with disabled wifi). Both give 800++ Mbps via LAN This post has been edited by nikrizal: Sep 23 2018, 03:39 PM |

QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Sep 23 2018, 07:48 PM) Too bad my laptop has only 2.4GHz and I am not planning to buy an adapter for 5GHz I’m using the official one, EU 1.1.3 Build 20180124 rel.52299My Sony Xperia Z5P also doesn't really give good reading on 5Ghz, guess it is due to the wifi for my phone then By the way, can I know what FW you're using for your C1200? I am on C1200v1_eu-up-1.1.3 Build 20180308 rel.49551(Beta) The betas one, any improvement? |

QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Sep 23 2018, 08:41 PM) I tried the one you are using and weird it gave me random reboot once/twice a day when I am using the internet Lucky the official one does not give me any issue! So I got no choice but to use the beta and at least it is running with same IP touch wood for almost 2 days now I don't really see the additional features for Beta but more on the fix for my router random rebooting |

It's very simple guys. If you don't download/torrent that much, it's no brainer. Just go for 100Mbps @RM129

QUOTE(laytiong @ Sep 30 2018, 07:45 PM) I got sick and tired waiting to 800mbps turbo, today went to TMpoint and changed my plan to current 100mbps package advertised on their website. WISE MOVE Waited for 40 mins, settled in 10 mins, account updated after 2 hours. Save RM70 a mth moving forward. None of my devices can touch 800mbps on wifi so no point to invest in new expensive routers. |

QUOTE(th3game @ Oct 13 2018, 08:05 AM) yet not all subscribers been turboed then wannna introduce new plan. well, as usual their answer will be: on progress any internal info regarding free turbo upgrade progress? QUOTE(OKLY @ Oct 13 2018, 08:54 AM) Looks like another plan that will backfire at TM if they don’t complete Turbo upgrade for eligible customers. QUOTE(mylinear @ Oct 13 2018, 11:20 AM) Any idea when? Maybe they think that most people have already switched to the new 100M and thus ready to bring out the lower packages. QUOTE(OKLY @ Oct 13 2018, 12:30 PM) I wonder will current RM139 30mbps be able to change to the soon to launch RM99 50mbps plan? In a way it is still considered an upgrade if we talk about the speed right? The earliest is December but most probably will be next year. And they haven't decided whether it will be unlimited or comes with quotas! |
