Yup, if shopee thinks they can persuade me to use their apps just for free shipping vouchers, they will be greatly mistaken.

I will reduce my purchase without free shipping vouchers on desktop web browsers. Simple as that.

Why are the cash vouchers on shopee so popular? specifically the ones "RM5 CASH VOUCHER" in exchange for 500 coins. etc. 500 coins are actually equivalent to RM5!

Or am I missing something?

Shopee set up their system to lure you using shopee pay.
I plan to buy 1 item below cost RM15.44. Preferred seller and there is free shipping symbol on the product page for order above RM15.
I put in cart and ready to check out.



Later when I want to pay and tried to select free shipping voucher, shopee said current payment method does not meet voucher t&c.
Fine. I can't top up exactly RM15.44 as the price including shipping is RM20. Since I dont have enough balance I can't use shopee pay, therefore I can't use the free shipping voucher. So I top up RM 20.



When I top up and I can select shopee pay as payment method, now the free shipping voucher term has changed.
Now the say I can't use the shipping voucher because available logistic don't have shipping discount. Pretty shitty.
I purchased anyway because what else I can use with my shopee pay money?



Shopee free shipping used to be more flexible before and now they are really tightening the rules. Keeps you hooked on buying in shopee.
Their shopee pay system is designed intentionally to put your money in their account so that you will carry on with your purchase.
You can never know beforehand if you really can get free shipping. Even if you choose shopee pay, later then can say the product is not included in the T&C.
So buyer be aware.

You can click at your cart there the “free shipping option” banner to know the availability of free shipping provided by the shop. If their couriers are not compatible with your place (like in EM no J&T or DHL), nothing much you can do.

At Shopee App - "Deals, Top=ups & Bill...", you can use Shopee Pay to pay mobile postpaid, Astro, electricity, water, food vouchers, mobile reload.
Outside Shopee, you can use Shopee Pay at Mydin.
From 30/11/2020, you can use ShopeePay at any DuitNow QR merchants, ie almost everywhere soon.

P/s, just tried with the store, it worked for me.

It is your fault , not shopee system, check carefully, you did not meet RM15 free shipping !!!
your item cost RM15.44, but you use shop discount voucher, so your item cost become RM14.94, did not meet RM15 free shipping TnC

Yes you’re right, my mistake. Didn’t notice the shop discount.
But still the error message that i got is not because my purchase is less than rm15, but logistic dont have discount as per third snapshot.

If only the right error message were given i could avoid this.

Their system is damn flawed. They based on full price not after discount. Example, item cost RM15, to get discount, need to use shopee pay. Discount RM3. so total after discount is RM12 (after applying voucher). Now, if you don't have money in shopee pay, u will need to top up RM15, even though after discount its RM12. which means the RM3 will be in shopee pay.

Popup to 15.44. Remove the store discount. Choose the free shipping before you click "Check out"
