hello.. kinda newbie here.. i just want to ask.. has anybody know any dentist in wangsa maju area and anybody knows the total cost of making one?.. really need a guide here.. cause plan to put on mine.. if possible.. can explain more bout the installment plan.. like the down payment and the monthly or per treatment payment like that.. thanks in advance..
*
It depends on which type of braces u wana do. I did mine for 5.8k, first payment I paid 2.8k, the remaining 3k is divided by 10 times which is I need to pay rm300 for each time I visit my ortho. The price that my ortho charge for traditional braces is 4k, Damon is 5.8k, which excluding x-ray, extraction and retainer. smile.gif

err.. about the de-bracing, actually I'm in fine tuning phase already... I think maybe by next month or May should take out dy, I think.

From the nurses, the retainer that they provided 1 is those transparent type 1... for other type you have to pay extra. If I am not wrong, those steel type 1 cost RM400 for bottom and top separately, which means = RM800 for top & bottom. ohmy.gif

Anybody else have more information about this?

I couldn't imagine myself without the braces anymore..! I think I will feel like my teeth is "naked" dy!!! sweat.gif

I never did ask about retainers. Cos i always forgot to ask. Everytime after appt, i cant talk properly, so ended up not ask.
I'm not sure if retainers comes with my package and how it suppose to be transparents or what.... sigh...

Any Dr. How's patients can help me on this? Thanks.

Yalor...And you know Dr. is always busy. Not much time can be spent with each patient. I really really wish the retainer comes with my package. Finger crossed. If not, i'll be damn broke. Cos paid so much already. Sigh...

I had mine done at dr reuben's clinic, see my earlier posts.

Good thing about dr reuben's place he doesn't have any hidden charges. I paid rm 5400 in total including retainers. his website is very comprehensive.

Treatment finished in 1 1/2 years, i was in govt clinic for 2 years but no change, so i went to dr reuben

Don't get me wrong. It does come with retainers, it just that if you opt for other type than the 1 they provided, then you have to pay more. Or else, it's included (this is what I understand from what the nurse says)

Oh yea, the transparent one is the one called as Essix retainer (from the link given by kentcp) and the RM400 one is Hawley's Retainer (refer to the link given). Hope I clear things up. wink.gif

ok guys! I'm finally de-braced! rclxm9.gif

now, just to inform you guys, during the de-bonding process, you have to go for x-rays and moulding is needed plus pictures will be taken too, so on that night I have to pay RM300 for those. unsure.gif

during the debonding process, there was slight pain, especially when Dr. is removing the brackets from my wisdom teeth (the last one at the back) but anyhow, after the debonding process, it feels weird. (like losing your teeth biggrin.gif )

today, I went and pick up my retainer, yeap, its the transparent 1, and I've been informed that I need to come back for check up 6 months later.

I also had bought a case to put my retainer and Polident, to clean the retainer.

the retainer feels tight, and to take it out is quite hard. I suppose maybe it'll loosen up after some time?

laugh.gif

super happy now!! tongue.gif
