sure they are selling ortho head? regular heads are easy to find but not for ortho. but i'll look around anyways.

just put up braces on the upper part last night. felt very funny when i saw my teeth in a mirror
the problem now... i can't really eat! the bite stop feels really awkward.. goshh. i think i know what i'll be having for buka puasa.. a bowl of porridge

I had my upper part fixed last month and now waiting for the lower part which is going to be on this coming 17th. I met Dr. How twice already and he took pictures after fixing my teeth. Is he going to take pictures on every appointment? If so, will he print the pictures out and let us keep them? I remember last time the receptionist said she forgot to print the pictures of my 1st visit. She'll give the pictures later on my next visit.

Another thing, how come I don't have dental wax? It's not in the package
I paid ~RM80 for the package which includes:
1 x Ortho brush
2 x Pearl Drops toothpaste
1 x Oral B mouth rinse
5 x Futuristic brush-like toothpicks
1 x Medicine for ulcer

Or I need to buy it separately?

NikkiDaTeddy: Sorry, actually it was RM96 for the extras. Probably they didn't have dental wax and gave me another toothpaste instead I'm using the traditional one.

fiza_love: Welcome to the club . My ulcer came out a few days after putting up braces. For your case, it might come out tomorrow or the day after I guess it depends on your condition. Initially I used the medicine for ulcer, it really works! Now it's already OK, no more ulcer. But I'm putting braces on the lower part next week.. no more ulcers hopefully..

yott-chan: As what NikkiDaTeddy said, I also advised you to eat whatever you have in mind. Not just that, whatever you dad, you mom, your bf, whoever around you have in mind.. you might want to eat as well JK

NikkiDaTeddy: I usually apply the med right before I go to bed so that I don't really taste it..hehe. The weird thing about the med is, it says POISON, DO NOT EAT. Weird right? I guess tasting a bit is fine

My friend told me that I could get this kind of med from 7E but I forgot what the brand is.

hahahha I think I have the same problem with saliva. Does anybody know how to prevent this? Now need to regularly change pillow cases. I always crash at my friend's houses over the weekend and now I need to bring my "personal" pillow along with me. Sometimes it's quite embarrassing to hug a big pillow from the carpark down the street all the way to up to a friend's apt. Then do the opposite way on the next day. Do that almost on every weekend...

to dr. how's patients: do we have to pay for extraction? how much is for 1 tooth? let say if rm60.. rm60 x 4 = rm240..wahhhh.

I just did extraction, still bleeding now. Actually the gap for booth teeth is quite big for me. When looking in the mirror.. I have this felling : "OMG, did I do the right thing??" I then looked at the extracted teeth..

Gosh, I hope I did the right thing.

2 teeth were extracted last night. The other 2 will be next month I guess. Also, I got 2 days MC.. . My boss is OK with it, she's very understanding and supportive..

Owh another thing, I paid RM141 for the 2 teeth extraction. I was given Arcoxia and Amoxycillin (painkiller). Actually what's the difference between Amoxycillin & Beafemic (the one we got on the day we put braces on)? Both are painkillers I guess.

have anybody heard about livingwell (http://www.livingwell.com.my/)? I heard people in Akademi Fantasia were sponsored to have dental surgery there. Their teeth were repaired in less that 2 hours and the cost for that was RM30k

ok a little updates from me. i've been braced for 2years and 3 months. i still have a little gap at my upper right jaw. when to take the braces off? seriously i have no idea. dr how said soon but i just dont want to be pushy by keep asking when and when. i have no plan to get married soon so i guess im fine

hi all!
it's been a while since my last post. i took off my braces about 4 months ago and yes, im satisfied with the result. the only thing that is bugging me now is just the transparent retainer. i've been using it since i took the braces off and looks like i need to wear it forever. well i only use it at night and everytime i plug the retainer in, the light pain is there (the teeth are adjusting to fit the retainer).

in short, the teeth move whenever i don't wear the retainer.
