MBB has revised that no more CB entitlement for FPX payment from October onwards.. and i believe PTPTN page is using FPX too?
u still managed to get CB for last month?
*
Nope. It's not FPX. If PTPTN payment with online banking is FPX but credit cards it is not. smile.gif
So no issue in getting cash back, last received for Oct cash back on Nov 1st.

Yes, been getting it every month via PTPTN page.
*
Any reason why you prefer AMEX instead of ptptn autodebit?
Autodebit give 10% rebate.

Amex : + 2.5 to 3%
Visa/MasterCard: + 2 to 2.5%

Spend after 8pm Saturday Malaysia Time (GMT+8), the transaction date (local time in US,  not Malaysia time) must be Sat/Sun to get the 5% rebate (+5 TP worth 1%).

P/S avoid using the Amex CC on Black Friday.
*
Amex +2.5% (usually just add on from visa rate)
Visa +2.25%

For MBB. Based on my previous spending calculation and CS also confirmed the above %. CS told me the additional bank charges when spend overseas.

Auto debit needs to use my cash and also I cannot adjust my payment based on my cash back balance and cycle.
I will prefer credit cards.

With this, mean if ur existing card expiry date is Jan, n u apply new card and activated in Nov, u will have to pay SST twice within 2 months.. upon activation & anniversary month. Really speechless with this
*
Yes, better apply new card after ur expiry month. My anniversary month is less than 3 months, I am think whether to apply first but activate on the anniversary month to avoid getting charged twice.

Yes, new card will be charged on activation month and anniversary month. If ur platinum card also follow ur previous anniversary month (December), maybe u could activate the card only on December so that u will only be charged SST once.

I was using Amex to manual pay every month until the previous government offer 10% rebate every month on the monthly payment. I think that is much better than Amex 5%?

I just feel the approach is not right as the expiry date shoulnd't be treated as anniversary month as the expiry date doesnt follow card issue date.

IINM, the 10% rebate is only valid until end of this year since that's the promise made by the previous government during last year's budget tabling. New government did not specify the 10% rebate in this year's budget tabling.
