He can pre-pay, not an issue. Just must do from other banks or cash deposit machine, can't do via M2U.

Just need to make sure amount shown on M2U is -10k (so deposit cash or transfer from other bank enough to reach that) then will be able to swipe. No need credit limit increase. Still better than paying with cash.

met a guy at 1U card centre who managed to get his RM25 waived after he appealed to MBB CC's management team - his strong point is that he often travels overseas & uses the card regularly.

Auto debit needs to use my cash and also I cannot adjust my payment based on my cash back balance and cycle.

IINM, the 10% rebate is only valid until end of this year since that's the promise made by the previous government during last year's budget tabling. New government did not specify the 10% rebate in this year's budget tabling.

call to customer service, tell them your email address, they will send application form to you.
fill the form and submit your latest income documents, send back to MBB.

Beware that you might not be able to cancel the Visa/Master after you upgrade. They don't allow cancelling one of the cards for those who applied after Sept 1. Upgrading is almost the same as applying for new cards. Ask them for confirmation.

Yes, if cards approved before 1st Sept, can cancel Visa/MasterCard.
It is not beneficial to us, so no point paying additional RM 25. Most of us have FCB VS, so it can replace this Visa/MasterCard.

MBB FCB VS is better than M2Kard Visa (not AMEX).

That's when SST resumed. after Sept 1, I think you're deemed to be aware and agree to keep both cards and pay the SST for both cards when you apply for them.

experts say use the SST reason. Not using is not a valid reason. Not using means just keep in a safe place and take it out when you want to use.

Submitted cancellation request on 4 Feb 2019 via FB message. CS contacted me on the same day, informing me it is allowed to cancel 1 out of 2 cards. I mentioned to CS that many Lowyat forumers mentioned it is no allowed to cancel 1 out of 2 cards for saving on SST purpose. He clarified stating it is allowed. The cancellation can even be done on the spot if I activate the card (I did not activate cause I am worried about getting SST charge).

Today I followed up again via FB and got a call as well. This CS informing me the cancellation is in progress and it is expected to complete by 14 Feb 2019. He also mentioned to me if I have activated the card, he can do the cancellation on the spot too. (again I did not activate cause of the SST concern)

Let's see the end results by 14 Feb 2019. To be continued....
