yeah, weird. anyhow, there could be a silver lining to this laugh.gif

assuming what ming86 shared is true that installment amount that falls on weekend would get cb, then 2 of my installments will falls on weekend (statement date) with both months' combined cb is about RM66 sweat.gif

You are correct on the jompay transaction amount which i did not get for CB. Btw this is not stated on amex2 cards Tnc, right?
Just called the CS. They will log report for me to escalate the missing CB for 3 jompay transactions as they dont find the tnc for jompay. Let’s see after 5 working days.

And regarding the min RM1 CB, i still get it for the transaction below RM20. CS read it for me, transaction RM18.3 entitled for RM0.91 CB.
Probably it meant for monthly earned CB has to be above RM1 to entitle CB?

Technically Jompay/FPX is not a Amex transaction.
Jompay/FPX don't use Amex network so the merchants/beneficiary never pay the Amex fee.
Jompay/FPX is a fund transfer service managed by Bank Negara and Banks in Malaysia.
As new M2U platform just allowed you to use Amex account for Jompay/FPX, Maybank may have overlooked to add this exclusion for M2 Amex. This exclusion is clearly stated for Visa/Mastercard.

just sharing my recent purchase.

went senq, bought a new laptop using amex @ 25 Aug (Sat). converted directly to maybank 6mth installment (without additional fee). maybank terminal. printed mbb receipt showing installment amount + last month amount.

today, ZERO cashback received for Amex (was expecting full RM50)  bye.gif

TP-wise, if i counted correctly, 1X TP credited few days after purchase. i guess the remaining 4X TP after statement generated (?), which is this weekend.

1st installment falls on this weekend. will monitor on 2 Oct if my Amex gets cashback for the installment amount that falls on weekend smile.gif

Same goes to me.

I have transaction on 18 August 2018 (Saturday) option for 12 months 0%, was expecting to see full rebate too. sad.gif

Rebate for instalment is now changed, few years ago, it will obtained full rebate + 5 TP earned.

Yup, I did call the CS Team

Officer told me that it should be getting full rebate since this is Easy Payment but not Easy Plus Payment.

He then raised a report for me to Rebate Department to check and see, 5 working days needed.

Easy Plus Payment = Meaning card holder call in to the bank and request for instalment plan, offer by bank itself

For TP earn, easy payment only x1 TP given

thanks for sharing.

i'll give MBB a call as well.

**update: CS filed a report. she suspected due to some error during SST cutover on 1 Sep. Asked about EPP, the cb is based on the actual full amount, not the installments later. **

Is there a reason why some people would prefer MasterCard to the VISA?

I have a MasterCard and have always wondered if it would be better to change to VISA.

no. Visa and Master are almost the same, if you have a merchant that takes visa 100% they will take master too.

It probably boils down to what promotion Visa gives out or Master gives out or their exchange rate.
