you didnt check the fact first.

unless your m2c have 20k TPs to waive both cards' SST, then no difference anyway.

Both.
If your existing card anniversary date falls on the month of September.

Anniversary date would be the expiry month of the card?

I remember reading earlier someone posted that it is not always the expiry month of the card. If this is the case then when would the anniversary date fall on?

Why not you give a call CS to confirm what is your card anniversary date?

Not always true.

If you don't mind explaining, what situation would make the anniversary date be different from the card expiry?

Eg
My CIMB, card expiry 12/xx, but service tax were charged on 2x January. (2010-2015)
My RHB, first card expiry 08/xx, during Chip&PIN exercise, my new card expiry 09/xx.

if u spend properly with amex (for trx eligible for 5X TP), you'll earn 5X TP anyway. easy to achieve.

i'm more interested to know if m2c TP can be used to redeem SST waiver for FCB VS instead.

Based on previous implementation, TP can be pooled from different cards except for the MBB VS.
