Less than 24h, but we'll be implementing soon a procedure that should make document verification close to instantaneous.
Where did you read that? PayWave & PayPass are just technologies that allow the NFC chip to communicated with the terminal. You can pay anywhere where the little network is displayed.

Also guys, we haven't forgotten existing users. Right now, you can either get your card replaced for a fee or wait for a bit until we communicate the roll out plan for everyone smile.gif

hope that you can get the free replacement for existing user

off topic: Jonathan, is your full name - Jonathan Lee CW?

Why it can't be done for FOC when MBB can do that?

paywave and paypass uses different proprietary encryption, etc etc.

the issue is the terminal setup and agreement with the acquirer bank, whether 1) terminal compatibility, and 2) acquirer enabled the connectivity.

since you're in testing stage, get your product/devs to test the BAP cards at real merchants/local retail outlets.

It's not about the replacement being free or not. Though I'd be curious to see if there's any official comms somewhere that explicitly says "free card replacement". But essentially, imagine if suddenly our entire user base requested for a replacement, at the same time... and all the potential implications for both our customers and BigPay. That's why we needed to come up with a comprehensive replacement plan that'll be discussed soon.

What makes you think that could be possible in such short period of time when MBB takes forever to enable that on their Mastercard?

Mastercard mbb never support spay.
I having visa + amex since long ago.
Even the debit with master cant support.

It's even a mistake to launch the product without Wave capability.
The smart alec MBB realized that it was a mistake after 1 year later when they first ditched it during the transition to PIN & Pay. 3
Clearly customer wants it and now everybody is rushing for the FOC replacement.

Of course I knew they are not supported it.
The point I wanted to bring up is that for what so ever reason MBB doesn't support it, for such a large bank if they really want to support it, it also takes ages!

Haha. I get you.

Those cashier sometime take the card to place it on terminal as if got wave feature.
Bigpay should have launching wave enabled card since the beginning, now the cost for replacement shipping also costing.

For new "paywave/paypass" card replacement, i rather your side provide "choices" for users to choose replace or not replace....... I am ok with PIN and pay, dun want to face any hiccups with "new" card. laugh.gif

Of course, you'll always have the choice! We're also looking at implementing a button within the app that enables / disables the contactless capabilities.

Yea, giving us choice since I not really into this PayWave thing biggrin.gif

Unless implement BigPay into samsung Pay, probably another good way for us.

SamsungPay is more secure with extra layer of security i.e fingerprint and does not show card number.

Yeap, with paywave, ppl can just pick ur card and simply make payment below RM200/250 ?

With samsung pay, it need our PIN or Biometric data before purchase.

iOS users will have to wait for Apple Pay while Android users will have to wait for Android Pay for this concept to be mainstream. Otherwise, Visa PayWave and Mastercard Contactless will still be preferred by the majority.

Ya I know, just because above mention Samsung pay, which i think will die out from the market eventually as it must be use with a Samsung device which it not the mainstream locally, visa paywave still the way to go.

Well Samsung is still the number one in manufacturing smartphones in the world. Anyway this is off topic.

Either way hope BigPay card is compatible with many different contactless payment methods then none at all.
