Can reload into BP at overseas and utilize the fund immediately, though you might have to do this multiple times.

MGM Thanks. Card freeze is a good feature

QUOTE(mr_tuzki @ Aug 9 2019, 02:53 AM)
I top up and keep 10k in a few cards so far no problem. Have to have faith in the system. Last time the older generation also refuse to do online banking / online shopping scared money get stolen, but in the end also have to move forward with the times.

All these anecdotal stories of fraud/whatnot, they happen 1 out of tens or hundreds of thousands of users. Like restaurant reviews, only the ones that kena bad experience will make noise, the other 99% don't bother posting good reviews.
Even normal credit card also got fraud case.

If you're worried, like others have suggested, you could top up piecemeal, e.g. top up 1k, when balance low, top up another 1k, etc

unified QR

meaning all participating ewallet issuers will generate a standardized QR which can be accepted anywhere by other ewallet issuer = interoperability

this requires changes from the backend and frontend (app) systems.

reload/cashback/rewards is ewallet issuer-specific. terminal apps need to be updated.

at least merchant no need to put a bunch of QR codes in front of their cashier, but if its a 1 app to rule them all type would be a pretty cool thingy, as no need to install so many e wallet app.. hehe daydreaming eh? biggrin.gif

nope. that's BNM's aspiration of unified/universal QR, part of ICTF.

just that implementation is taking longer time to realize.

Actually what i confused is what has BT got to do with BigPay?

If i read correctly, someone said bank is/will have lower ppl doing BT because of BigPay? I mean i dont think BigPay has BT right?

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Aug 8 2019, 10:58 AM)
Still not quite understand how BigPay is related to BT  sweat.gif
*
QUOTE(vez @ Aug 8 2019, 11:19 AM)
what he meant could be
cardA balance due RM2000
use cardB to reload to bp RM2000 (this will have another days to pay before due), take out and pay cardA  laugh.gif

something like BT maybe biggrin.gif instead of BT from A to B... (with charges)
*
QUOTE(fadzly @ Aug 8 2019, 01:23 PM)
I think its not related to bigpay. Its just comparison between bigpay vs bt

Bigpay: roll the money as long as u want without the worry of paying interest /high interest. Just rm6 per cashout or if u know a trick not to pay rm6, then u can basically prolonged your hutang theoritically lifetime.

Bt: u got interest one time charges/or 0% but u got dateline to pay per month and usually last 1 year.
*
First of all, apologize for trigger the confusion of Balance Transfer thingy in the first place.

It's all started with Local Transfer feature in BP (coming soon).

If Local Transfer to CASA only incur small fees & CASA use to repay other CC, then it can save a lot and challenge the bank in doing BT business.

At this moment, BP --> ATM (RM6 per withdrawal) --> Card flow use ATM as medium 'transfer' the balance from Card A to Card B

Going forward, CardA --> BP --> CASA (RM ?? per trnx) --> CardB.

See the relation to BP?

Actually I believe the ewallets will still carry on with their respective promos, even after the unified QR is implemented. Just that the unified QR can accept payments from all participating ewallets + banks and attribute it back to the respective ewallet issuers , then to the merchants. Definitely will involve a lot of backend settlement processing.

So one may still install multiple ewallets just to enjoy the promotion, but payment point at unified QR is just easier since it can then accept payments from many channels.

Assume RM95 BP credit is sold by a Preferred Seller at RM100.
Shopee earns RM2 (est)
Seller earns RM3 (est)
But the Buyer pays RM75 only.
The Buyer must be good in mining coins.

why 75 only?
