Is there any way to check the upcoming service in the car dashboard or infotainment, if I already did a reset of the head unit?

I was checking my next service and it doesn't show up on the head unit / dashboard. I know I had to reset everything due to carplay issues recently.

I probably not due for service until march or april 25. but no reminder in the car is a bit worrying
*
Mileage in odometer also reseted?

Set reminder in your phone calendar la.

contact your previous sc? pretty sure they have the record. or did you keep the service request form? they should hand a copy to you before each service

or just login to Mazda portal, under your Vehicle info, you can find when you last had your service with the mileage

Strongly suggest you take Kia sportage 2.0D or Sorento 2.2D instead.  Avoid this Mazda diesel like a plauge  tongue.gif

Was going to get a 2016 cx5 diesel. used one currently going for less than 40k.

watched reviews by bobby and he was giving nothing but praises, saying how good mazda made this engine. how revolutionary etc.

now I have some reservations.

The tech is good on Mazda diesel, but reliability is shitty at best. Just get a Sportage diesel and you are greeted with one of the most reliable diesel engine at current era.

How about going for the 2.0 petrol variant? Pretty good car and reliable.

The 2.5 NA and 2.5T very powerful but not petrol efficient sweat.gif And I personally feel a bit overkill unless you are the type that tekan pedal kuat kuat. 2.0 is just nice for me...good enough to zoom zoom in highway and fuel efficency is not bad.

Touch wood the 2.0 serves me very well after 7 years 110,000 km mileage. Only complain is some random vibrating noise which until today I also cannot find. Repair wise only the usual side mirrors and lower arm bush/bar.

I was torn between the 2.0 and 2.5. Then the new CRV came along with power in between those 2 and being new, I opted for that instead.

CRV offers bigger space but the handling is not as good. Looks wise is subjective tho biggrin.gif

The CRV G6 handling has improved and not too far off compared to the G5. But I find the 19" rim of the 2.5 gives a ride a bit too harsh for me. The 2.0 17" is much nicer ride

2020 cx5 2.2 diesel rm66k
2020 cx5 2.5T 4WD rm107k

that is a lot of difference.

so far heard many news of diesel engine problem overseas, like Taiwan and UK. But rarely heard any issues with diesel engine for CX5 in Malaysia? not sure why? maybe our version already localised to be more durable?
