Hi, my cx5 battery flat (3years already), so I just change battery outside.

But after change, the i-stop still keep blinking, and system there written
i-stop system malfunction
I-stop operation is not possible. Have your vehicle checked at mazda dealer.

Any idea? Or I really have to send into SC?

from chatgpt, but I believe it need sort of reset. Either automatically.

Possible Reasons & Fixes:
✅ 1. i-Stop System Reset (Try This First)
Since the system needs to "relearn" the new battery, follow these steps to reset it:

Start the engine and let it idle for about 10-15 minutes (ensure all accessories like air-con and lights are off).
Turn the steering wheel fully left, then fully right, and return it to the center (this recalibrates the steering sensor).
Drive the car above 10-15 km/h for a few minutes, then check if the i-Stop warning disappears.
✅ 2. Manual Battery Sensor Reset (Battery Relearning Procedure)
If the above step doesn’t work, try this:

Turn off the engine and open the driver’s door.
Press the start button twice (without pressing the brake) to enter ACC mode.
Press and hold the i-Stop OFF button for 3-5 seconds until the warning light blinks.
Start the engine and drive normally.
✅ 3. Check if the Battery Type Matches
Mazda i-Stop requires an EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery) or AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) battery.
If a standard battery was installed instead of EFB/AGM, i-Stop may not function properly.

Anyone has any workshop recommendation for changing all 4 tyres at a good price? Around KL/PJ. The last time before covid there’s a very popular shop in Klang selling really cheap compared to others. Can’t remember the name 😅

You can check out this shop in Shopee call Performance Tyre PTM. The Michelin Primacy SUV+ for 225/65R17 is about 460 ish after discount...it includes balancing and installation. If want alignment then extra 55 per car. The shop is in Shah Alam.

I have changing my tyres there all this while since 2018 until now, due to price. Usually will message the shop for a price quotation and go there and show the price offered. My jackpot last time back in 2018, 235/45/18 for Michelin PS4 at rm520/pc wheres at Kajang tyre shops at rm800+/pc. Usually, they do free alignment/balancing, but, I will send it to my regular tyre shop for a "better" alignment services.
Shopee one, many add-ons required, balancing/alignment not inclusive. some even need to add for installation fees.

Very fast, just 1 day. I put my car today then tomorrow can get car already. No need supplement any document, car card or anything. But maybe give them a call/whatsapp first so that they can prepare.
