1. Regarding your point to ponder, the first point is one of the important point!! How can it be "put aside", then come out with all the point that support his point of perspective only? Cleary he is just piss at Microsoft for banning. Wait till you see people flying in the game and shooting unlimited bullet at the rate of 999 bullet per second. Yes, it happens.
2. Of course but those are minority, usually modders would have gotten two xb360 & they can do whatever they want without limiting themselves. It's a no-brainer that if cheating and hacking happens, people need to get ban. Not just console game, any online would have that happen. World of Warcraft is the hottest game right now with massive subscriber, yet Blizzard decide to ban more than 18,000 cheaters and suspended alot of users. Cheaters or not, those are source of income for blizzard but yet, they goto do it because it has to be fair.
3. Again, just to cater to the minority and piss off the larger legitimate userbase? Think of it, how will the legitimate user feel when they pay more to support the game yet pirates just need to pay few bux to play online?
So i find Microsoft way of dealing with modded console are more justify because it doesn't brick your console, it doesn't render your console useless, you just can't play online. How is that gona regulate negative PR is beyond me because since Day 1 people know Microsoft gona ban them but it's just them being "optimistic" that it won't happen.
4. Until we seen real figure, nobody can vouch for its credibility.
5. I don't think that will happen, the most is hiding the identity of modded console, not playing pirated games online. It didn't happen in xbox 1 so i doubt it will happen for xb360.
So here is a point for ponder. Why do you think banning from Xbox Live is bad? Are you being selfish?? Just to allow you to play pirated game online now you want Microsoft to open up the opportunity for every unethic hackers to come up with hacks for games online? How will those who pay alot more for the legitimate copies feel? (probably feel like a tard 
) You still can play pirated games on your console, it's fair isn't it? - general statement, not pointing at anyone.

India? I guess India is just part of the important region for Microsoft because lots of IT professional from there.
You can say Microsoft did nothing about this and sometimes we always getting unfair treament but have you ever think Microsoft actually offer us CHEAPER game compare to PS3 (where alot of user here say if this & that happen, i will buy PS3) Xb360 games manufacture in Singapore are way cheaper compare to buying US version?
PC gaming just started to have localize version lately at the price of lower than RM100. That don't come in the blink of an eye, it comes after all those year of "struggling". It started with competitive gaming scene, then alot buy ORI just so they can play online. More and more people do that...company like EA and others started to print Localize version in BM and we got a cheaper ori deal.
If anyone have the rights to complain about expensive games and unfair treatment, Europe should be the first in line because they always get screwed in the ass. Games in UK are selling at 40 per copy!!! That's way too much even for its standard of living. If anyone has the right to pirate games, Europe should do it first.
