Therefore, if the line distance is over than 3 km that means the service could not be provided at your area. Distance is an important factor in Streamyx service as it contributes to the quality of the broadband connection, in terms of speed and stable connectivity. The connection running under 4MB at more than 3 km would frequently be disconnected and runs at a very low speed.

Microsoft, nVidia, Yahoo, Apple.com, ati.amd, got premium connection to Malaysia. and u got 99% satisfied speed and 99.99% good connection all around the world ( correct me if wrong)

so u probably get good speed from the site. But what about some small/medium company? Then u might facing slow connection to their site.

call them and tell them, to upgrade the DSLAM speed to higher.
b'coz u got the special privilege to tell the higher level support to do it.

wah,,, If they do not change your port and u use 8mb streamyx account to connect in ur house now...sure u get 7mbps now.
yur line can support up to 8mbps now....

mine set at 4096kbps and margin is 4-8db.

got random DC at least 2-3times a day. still acceptable. but the problem is... I can't download anything now.

I realize all 4Mbps user will get 218.111 IP's only.

Please do a test with the following,
connect internet for few time using your own 4mb account.
check what is your ip and record down.
example :
218.111.0.101
218.111.0.102
218.111.0.103


Test 2:
Use your frd, family, relative 1mb or 512kbps account
connect to internet few times and then check what is your IP.
and post it here.

I got 3 frds using 4Mb account, all of them are connected to 218.111 IP's
once we have confirm 100% all 4mb user got 218.111 IP's
then the next test is about the BT throttle, and Youtube speed capped.

Attention to all 4Mb users

Since every 4MB user can get 218.111 IP's range.

The following test is about the Torrent/RS/MU/Direct download/Emule/youtube/video streaming/

and of lastly, We need to know what happen if tis IP got problem, Will this IP effect on all 4MB users... and now all 4MB are connected to 218.111. if anything happen to this IP's then, we do not able to change IP anymore...

I got an internal news
saying those IP is not Premium IP.
The reason we got this IP for 4Mb users b'coz other network routing do not able to sync in the IPDSLAM.

Any expert can explain abit ?

using 218.111 got a ping to US (West coast Los Angales) only 210ms.

so far, my house only able to get 11 IP's only

218.111.X.180
to
218.111.X.190

only 11 IP's available in my area. but happened if all the IP's being use?
