QUOTE(GHz @ Apr 8 2009, 08:00 AM) But the most important thing is whether the card issuer allow online transaction or not. For example maybank visa debit not allow for online transaction. I just called up their customer service. They said soon maybank visa debit will allow online transactions.

Not too sure bout the Public Bank one, but going by the current trend, the 2-Standard Chartered Bank's Master Card Debit seems like a good choice. 7% rebate on petrol purchases, and 5% at major hypermarkets. Lots of rebates there This post has been edited by ellimist: Apr 9 2009, 04:43 PM

I don't think they will continue to have this promo after June 09 coz already rates are coming down and bank margins are getting thinner.

QUOTE(alexwsk @ Apr 10 2009, 03:46 PM) it comes free? i thought there's an anual fee of RM8 No. It's NOT free. There will be an annual charge of RM8. This account doesn't come with a passbook. A monthly statement will be mailed to you every month but this service will stop once you subscribe to their online statement. They will automatically activate your online banking for you when opening the account and a debit Mastercard will be issued whether you want it or not.
