You can't use it for online/internet transaction only. If you pay at the hotel, it should be fine.

Maybank Cherry Card only do not accept Online Transaction. Other than that, they are convenient to go with.

As long as your debit card is having VISA or MASTERCARD logo, it should be able to use in Malaysia. Your debit card not issue in Malaysia?

All Public Bank ATM do support "UnionPay". Besides that, Public Bank ATM also supports MEPS, VISA, VISA Electron, PLUS, Mastercard, Maestro, ATM Bersama (from Indonesia) and NETS (Singapore).

I mean Public Bank Automated Teller Machine (ATM) all support "UnionPay" cards. Not Public Bank ATM card. Public Bank ATM card can only be used at MEPS supported ATM.

You may use your "UnionPay" ATM card at any MEPS supported ATM machine. That means you can use it at most local banking institutions. For example Maybank, CIMB Bank, Public Bank, Hong Leong Bank, RHB, Alliance Bank, EON Bank, Affin Bank and AMBank.

Yup, you can buy the debit card from 7 eleven but your parents may need to sign the consent form provided together with the starter pack. As for bank in money, yes, they can do through cash deposit machine available. smile.gif

Not sure what do you mean but if your online business transaction involves PayPal. Then Public Bank VISA Electron is the card you must get. The Public Bank VISA Electron can be verified by PayPal and you may also use it to pay and withdraw fund on PayPal.

But the most important thing is whether the card issuer allow online transaction or not. For example maybank visa debit not allow for online transaction.
