QUOTE(LeonTan @ Apr 8 2009, 10:22 PM) I'm using Maybank Debit card and I always have problem to pay bills at restaurant or shops.... they always say the cant detect my card... so now thinking to apply a new Debit card... I want to use for online transactions and confirm can use for all shops... is Public Bank ING Debit Card a good choice? Not too sure bout the Public Bank one, but going by the current trend, the 2-Standard Chartered Bank's Master Card Debit seems like a good choice. 7% rebate on petrol purchases, and 5% at major hypermarkets. Lots of rebates there This post has been edited by ellimist: Apr 9 2009, 04:43 PM

No, I don't think it'll affect debit cards.
The point is to limit cards held by a single person, thus limiting the total credit he/she has. Debit cards don't provide a line of credit
