maybank more better coz can use at many shop coz nowday many merchant use maybank terminal.

I'm not sure whether SCB debit MC can be used for online transactions. I don't use debit card for online transactions but cc coz got 3x points for overseas transactions + cash rebate. The only drawback is the extra fees on top of the exchange rate charged when using cc.

std chart debit mastercard : cannot verify paypal...other online transaction not sure....
maybank visa debit: cannot verify paypal...other online transaction not sure....

so basically the same...of course if u compare maybank to std chart, maybank better becoz their cash deposit machine is everywhere, even petronas got their CDM.......while std chart very CDM/ATM very limited .....

i'm using PB Visa Electron, verify paypal smoothly.... I purchased airline ticket online RyanAir also smooth sailing.....

I applied for PB visa electron card at damansara utama public bank today.



The lady said they had to send it credit card authority and it might take up to a month.

Is it normal????







I also applied for RHB cash connect at RHB damansara utama today
The lady said that it would take 10 days if I apply now. She advised that if I come apply after 3rd February, they will do on the spot immediately.

normal. they'll tell you MORE, better than tell you 2 weeks later can't fulfill then how?

anyway, mine came in about 2 -3 weeks. then the PIN came another week or 2 later.

yeah maybank debit card cant be used for online transaction. they even said we can use them oversea. but even i tried at singapore cannot draw cash. huhu

you have to turn on the oversea flag at the counter

sorry if i miss this. what is that counter by the way? i dont really get it. btw the way ive asked the guy who issued me that card, he told me i can use straight away. so what to do?

I did mine at damansara utama branch


there's one counter where u get your credit card statements, bank statements and mailing stuff. a counter where you can simply go without getting the token number.
I gave them the card and told them to turn on the oversea flag. They took the card.. did something and told me it's done, showing me the computer screen showing "oversea = yes"





By the way, Maybank debit card is pretty useless without online capabilities.

Hmm.. quite a rare issue. Maybe your debit card can't be used for overseas transaction..

Hi I would like to get something clear.
I am currently holding Maybank Visa Debit.
So can I purchase a laptop/something with 12month instalment plan?
I have been reading some post say yes and some post say cannot. So I am kinda confused here.
I hope someone would clear this up to me.

I got my RHB my-cash debit card yesterday morning (wednesday)


But the staffs say that I will only be able to use it starting from Fri morning. Online things

PB visa electron card is a massive disappointed.. have to wait for a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnng time
