Yes, I am having China wallet all this while.

I linked my cimb debit card and top up rm10 but no problem so far

i think wechat pay is secretly official launch already compare to month back, still unstable and certain group of people got the Malaysia Wallet feature. Today I open up my wallet and got a message saying regional switch available. Well, useless for me since it doesn't accept and pair up with AMEX card.

So far i think GrabPay is the only app that accept AMEX

Since it can longer accept BigPay, I don't see excitement with this as I don't have a debit card literally.

Well, I do have a debit card but I set the transaction limit to 0 to disable the feature. I'm more of a credit cards user.

May I ask, are you saying if someone give you angpau, you will have Wechat wallet even though you don't have China bank card and China phone number?

If yes, how to do that?

On my Wechat and when I search Wallet, it show a Yuan Wallet and not able to use because no China card and number.

Yes. I don't know how I did it but I already got it since 2013.

If someone from China want to send me money, is it possible if I don't have a China wallet?
Also if they send me angpow, can I withdraw it? I'm not sure how this works.

I think when they send to you, it auto activates your China wallet.
No, cannot withdraw unless you have China bank account.

Seen a few in Pavilion, but the Wechat Pay sticker outside the store is in chinese, don't think it will work with ours.

I think Razor Pay can easily overtake WeChat Pay with their partnership with 7-11

That's not a fair comparison, the former is officially launched while the latter isn't.

Also, Razer Pay has tons of issues for the time being.

Favepay, Boost, BigPay, GrabPay Wallet, Razor Pay, AliPay, Samsung Pay, TnG e-wallet, WeChat Pay ...

Yeah, too many. However, it's better to use the ones that's accepted by more merchants.
