It depends whether u good or not... actually in any field..if you are good you can demand higher pay, and people willing to pay you highly..
When people say engineers pay very low..i say bullshit.. top engineering graduates easily get RM5k and above, if they know where to find and ace all interviews... Thats why they are top in the first place..

Thats why no matter what u do, be the top 10%-20%

Anyone know what other companies other than Intel which pay higher salary for Master as compared to normal degree?

Last I heard Intel paid fresh grad Master RM4.5k, when I enter that time it's 4k only.

i think it depends on what position and program applied.

If you go for their flagship programs like Management Trainee or Graduate Trainee programs, you can easily get above RM3.5k+ for banking. Like Hong Leong paid RM5k for their Management Trainee program, but of course competition is tough...

If direct entry, then lower.

15 yrs ago, my colleague's fresh graduate son got into HSBC Global Management program... after 1.5 yrs he was drawing around RM10k, with golf club membership etc etc

Probably opens doors in some companies and gives you some opportunities, if your boss appreciates it, but not help you up the ladder just because you have a degree.

Software is a very democratic field. You need to perform to move up. My company has lots of PhD holders. Some have been coding since the 70s. However, the principal architect and CTO don't havea PhD.

Not sure about other fields. Consultancy probably appreciates titles more.

If i want to job hop, my next employer will be looking at only RM4k right to determine my next salary?

Kind of sad...
