How's the device man?

I'm damn happy to play hearthstone with superb performance lol. It is as smooth as on my phone. Back then using tvbox on amlogic s912 chipset. Game goes laggy when there's more than 3 minions on board. Now I can handle up to 14 minions and still speedy.

Now feel itchy to get another one for living room TV

So just got my box and installed netflix and iflix. Just wondering, what else you guys use? What about local channels etc? Tried Astro on the go and it crashes
The unifi play tv app also doesn't work well with the box.

Looking for something to watch live TV etc to replace astro. Thanks!

im use it mostly for watch streaming movie from my own movie server and games

for astro-go, wat i did last time is install google keyboard and google chrome. after that u can open the apps, enter the login id, then can watch already.

unifi play apps also seem ok , no issue except it show on potrait instead of landscape. both astro-go and unifi tv. tried few orientation apps, didnt work. so i just ignore it since the potrait is on the menu, once streaming, it will show landscape.

Can you link me to the unifi play apk that you're using? Might be that the one I'm using isn't suitable. How do you navigate the app btw? Using the remote seems unintuitive can't see where I'm pressing.

no, im using stock oreo launcher.
for me its ok, except waste lots of space cos not apps support the 'channel'

i install the unifi apps on my phone, backup it using es file explorer, it will backup as .apk. then use that apk to sideload on ur shield. can navigate using mouse cursor via right stick controller.

Just wondering if anyone is using any paid IPTV service? Can recommend any good ones? Thanks again guys fairly new to this streaming box scene, but from what I see KODI addons not very stable and sometimes may work or not.

Myiptv is not the only ehem iptv provider service.. There are other providers and some really good ones that have their own Kodi addon..complete with EPG, VOD etc.. Kodi works great on the Shield.. So.. as the good book says, Seek and ye shall find..

Android app such as Iflix, njoi now, playtv@unifi work in this Nvidia Shield 2017? Currently using Minix Neo U1. Time to do some research.

iflix is native android tv apps. install from google play.so far ok

astro go, playtv unifi also ok, need side load but i have problem with screen orientation on the menu, but once the content played, its in landscape, only menu on potrait. so far tried few orientation apps didnt work.

im on latest android oreo.
