Hi, I am just back from Japan trip.
I use a bus from Tokyo station to Lake Kawaguchiko using https://japanbusonline.com/en/CourseSearch/11500410001
Actually I stay at Akihabara, it's just 2 subway station away from Tokyo station
thanks for the reply. when you were at tokyo station, was it difficult to find the bus that you have to board? Was everything manageable? any apparent problem one might have to face when trying to board a bus there?

I had a close call 2 years ago. I didn't realize I'm supposed to book the tickets in advanced. I was ignorant, my fault.

When I got at the station, all tickets sold out. I was put on hold, awaiting for other passengers whom may FFK. Luckily, there was one FFK, and I managed to get a ticket, then. Otherwise, I would have to wait for the next bus, which still, I'll be in the waiting list.

The moment I step out from the bus in Kawaguchiko, I headed straight to the counter and purchased a ticket back to Tokyo.

A self reminder, though, always book tickets in advanced.

Thanks man. Im trying to find a service provider that can give me the least headache, since im not able to speak japanese nor understand it. Online booking can be done, but I hope I wont face any problem trying to board the bus.

I don't remember which online ticketing system for that bus. But there is one, maybe other members here can share?

Next time you can just Google "bus, Kawaguchiko to Shinjuku" and you'll see the link. Or you can ask the person who needed the service to look it up. Just to note, in this section we don't spoon feed on information that one can get with just a click of a button.

You can always refer to the Note on Page 1 post #1.

Can only book 1 month in advance though, last week was planning to reserve seats for this bus as well but noticed can't book yet.

Aha. Cool. I'll be there in November, it gotta be cold. Anything particular to lookout for, maybe? Leeches. Wild dogs. Wild boars. Checked in YouTube, there are signs of bears?!

No leeches , wild dog and boars. Hiking Trail are very well maintained until no challenge.

Yes actually I book in advance tickets for 2 different days. Then I check the weather a few days before the trip and cancel the other ticket...

I booked mine last year with this website. It allows me to book and reserve but pay on the counter. So you can book a few, by judging or predict the weather on the day you want to go. Only cost JPY3500 for return journey from Shinjuku Station to Kawaguchiko Station, whole journey takes about 2 hour+-.

The bus journey was rather relaxing. My gf and I get to nap during the ride, and I believe many of us hate those reckless bus drivers who jam break or suddenly speeds up. laugh.gif

Thanks biggrin.gif . Booking seems like the go-to option if your plan is subjected to the weather.

Sounds like fun. But you didn't remark on the bear sign. Does it mean you encounter one before? tongue.gif

Yes. Super important to book in advanced. If all the bus passengers were there, no one FFK at all, I'll end up sleeping on the streets. LOL.

Hi would like to ask suggestion for those who ever been to usj during the golden week season. Not sure to go on a friday (27th april) or monday (7th may). I am trying to avoid the weekends and the 29th april-5th may week, must be super crowded 😅. Anyone just came back recently from osaka and played the detective conan event in USJ? Isit worth it to get the express pass for the cool event? Thanks
*
Just came back from USJ last few days. But I only tired Final Fantasy XR ride and Monster Hunter. But what i can see from the Queuing line for Sailor Moon and Conan is quite fast moving in. For Monster Hunter, Is totally big let down! Nothing to do with monster slashing, just some stupid 3D tracking photoshooting of yourself together with the Dragon and download the photo in the end by scanning the QR code given at the beginning at instruction area at entrance. Final Fantasy Ride is awesome roller-coster ride! but you need to put all your belonging item into Locker Room next to the hall which cost you 100Yen.

Express pass is a MUST to avoid time wasting on queuing at crowded season! I only bought Express Pass 4 & Cool Japan 2, but I manage to play all rides in USJ with alot extra time to spare for taking picture around.

1. Get yourself an Express Pass & Cool Japan Express Pass from Klook, book together at once so that the time slot given for express pass wont crash with the cool japan.
(for my case, my Cool Japan Express pass time slot is 12.30pm for Monster Hunter, 1.50pm for Final Fantasy, Harry Potter entrance is 2.30pm, Forbidden Ride is 2.50pm, Minion ride is 6.10pm, another 2 express pass is time free based, I picked Jaws & Jurassic Park The Ride). Personally, I feel this is the best time slot given because you got extra time to spare in the early morning to play all the ride without express pass quickly since morning will be less crowd in the park.

2. Be there as early as possible, park entrance open around 8.45am-9am, and I reach there around 8.15am.

3. Once the gate open rush to Hollywood Dream / BackDrop ride first because is the nearest to the entrance and this will pack up in sudden. Take Single Rider Line for this because there is zero people going in this line at this opening hour.

4. After that, go for Flying Dinosaur after you done with your Hollywood Dream & Backdrop. This area still won't pack with visitor yet because the ride is located at the most top corner in USJ and looks the scariest. Request with the staff at the top platform for first row seat so that you can enjoy the maximum adrenaline rush and view on this ride! It only took me 45 minutes to complete these 3 major roller-coaster ride in USJ.

AVOID Terminator 3D & Backdraft ! Put this two at the end of your schedule! Soooo boring and not worth the time!!

Below is my rate for the park ride base on my personal experience.

Hello guys. Referring to the malaysian custom link here,

http://www.customs.gov.my/en/ip/Pages/ip_pbft.aspx

there are many criteria for items that are allowed to be brought into the country tax-free.

Example point 1.1, - only 1 new pair of shoes are allowed to be brought into the country tax-free.

Do u guys detach all of the tax-free receipts off your passports before reaching KLIA, or would that be too obvious?

ok, you are asking back to malaysia, yes, only 1 pair new shoe,
if you buy 2 pair, please wear one of them, then become 1 old, 1 new rclxm9.gif

leaving japan is another story.....

another 1 is for your own keep, normally our customs officer won't check it.

mine still attached to the passport. I didn't remove it cause i want my passport to be filled with immigration chops and receipts laugh.gif

But back to the question on making purchase overseas, I am actually planning to help people to buy watches, shirts or some cosmetic stuff. As long as is sealed tight, that shouldn't be any issue right? hmm.gif
