on tv, watchable but not great.

1. go to settings, device, about, restart the android.
this just cleans up androidtv, not reset the tv.

2. go to rotation lock app, set to landscape.

3. go to settings, preferences, check if INDIC keyboard is selected.
if it is not, and default keyboard is still on, u will get "force stop".

Hyppbox is a low end box.

Astro has ways to stop devices with incompatible firmware from using it.

Get a better box or androidtv... astrogo works fine, little trouble.

that's pretty much up to you...

astrogo is a handy app if u hv id/pw - for chinese and sports channels at least - in hd.

besides buying a box for that, u can consider, at next tv purchase, get a sony or a sharp with androidtv - these tv's can take astrogo, work good too.

i believe this box is a low end one, used by sellers as a package for ahem iptv.

atgo is very sensitive to the device's firmware, partial root, etc.

yr device is deemed rooted or firmware unable to deal with it.

some have said u can hide root with some tool/app... u gotta search for this method details.

majority of brands and boxes come unrooted.

note unrooted does not automatically mean astrogo will work!

becos some hyppbox users say they can make it work; some cheap boxes also users can hide root and it works.

does that mean such unrooting or root hiding somehow brings about widevine/DRM decoding/decryption as well?

this question also applies to unifi playtv which works on some boxes, not on others.

i have tried both at length, various versions, modified ones on about many devices... still, i can't determine exactly why they behave as such!

fyi, besides certain LG models, sony and sharp models using androidtv can do astrogo.

the app is built for touchscreen... phones, tablets.

can't do that with tv.

next best thing is to drag with the air mouse cursor.

as long as u can get everything, ok... right?

i do not hv that box but smart tv androidtv... so, should be same.

8.2.4 failed to work, so updated to 8.2.6 - ok, works fine now.

BUT... but the display u get on the tv may not be full screen.

if chromecast 3 is similar to googlecast or chromecast-built-in in smart tv's, some astrogo channels will be like 2/3 size; some may have wrong aspect ratio.

u probably want to try a reinstall.

i find 8.2.6 smoother than 8.2.4 - for 2 diff devices.

intl version MDZ-16-AB or mibox s MDZ-22-AB using androidtv can do.

quite a few people have reported current astrogo 8.2.6 does not work or does not work well compared to previous versions.

diff devices may be experiencing diff things, so best u read and asked in the various threads for actual users to confirm.

himedia q10pro will work 100%... install 8.2.6 from playstore, nothing else, it auto updates too if there is new version... this i can confirm, been using for some time now.
