 Any recommended android box for Astro Go?

But, there are still plenty options out there if one knows how to look for it.

Rather than spending time to improve the content, UI and navigation of astro go, they spending time to block "customers that paid them" from using astro go on android tv & box.

Plenty of choices now for chinese content.

Really, canto/hongkong material is deteriorating.... they all go to china to film these days.

There is celestial, ccm on unifitv, qiyi or viu can be free too... pay a bit for tvbanywhere.

I just subscribed wetv from tencent, only rm4.90pm... some good stuff there.

astrogo is the official app. if u are entitled to it which is free for subscribers, and yr device can play it, it cannot be illegal.

but if u pay some seller to get some other unknown id and use it on some device, u decide if it is legal or illegal.

won't work or doesn't work well on ATV.

becos ass been intentionally blocking it.

been like that for years, well known.

yes, tx3mini, tx3max, tx3 s905x3 by default should work good with the app.

your tx3mini is running on ATV os? flashed yrself?

Ago does not work well on any ATV, live streams lag badly... alto there r reports u can somehow make it work or use modified apk - that i hv no idea.

both my tx3 s905x3 and tx3max (flashed from tx3mini) runs on regular android, had always worked, no need to do anything extra.

not sure if this differs from batch to batch, though - this been discussed in below thread but no clear answer.

I doubt there is a way to make the apk work on ATV tv.

i actually don't recommend it as u will have to tamper with the TV os and/or use prohibited modified apk - this may hang yr TV.

if it is a rm200 ATV box, can try... but a new smart TV... i rather not risk it for warranty reasons.



it used to work very well on ATV tv direct... about 3-4 years ago but no more since as Ass intentionally fouled it up.

yep, i am in same situation.

i have 2 ATV tvs, each with a tx just for Ago; the rest, i use TV apps which are more convenient - unifitv, iqiyi, utube, netlfix, etc...

i do not recommend unapproved/suspect apks for the TV becos i have encountered the warnings, not worth risking it.

BTW, tx3 is not a premium box, u get better video quality from smart TV compared to tx3 for same app found in playstore.

U can install x-plore, a file manager to sideload.

BUT i advse u not to sideload but stick to apps listed in playstore as there r certain security features against malware.

ATV is not optimized for non ATV apps, can cause problems to yr tv... thats what i was trying to tell.

Standalone cheap box, can do anything... u only lose a cheap box in the worst case.

since u r new to this ATV tv, take note that some apps are only for ATV, some are only for regular android, some have multiple versions, all legit.

if u use the wrong one, it does not work properly... can't navigate well, things missing, etc.

Asgo app was never in ATV playstore, but sideloading worked, alto clumsy... until they decided to kill it, doesn't well anymore.

Unifitv app is in ATV playstore works v well on ATV; a diff version for regular android, works well too.

If u try sideloading, some will work fine, some will not, some will trigger a warning from systems security.

It is obvious they just duwan people to use astrogo on TV for free.

Rm30 is fair, but why tie it to box subscribers? Open it up to all! The only explanation is the desire to prolong the life of proprietary boxes.

There is really no need for such boxes or satellite today. Netflix, Amazon, Disney, iqiyi, WeChat... Even unifitv have embraced no box method. Smart TVs r the future.

I tried to check but hv nothing in my library...

Everything else ok.

This box we hv is wonderful, other tanixes getting kicked out one by one.

Incl one i hv that can install, can load UI but fails to play, err 1411.

This tx3mini n tx3 are precious... afaik, there is no other that can do the same.

A tip if relevant.... input the tx3mini into an AVR for upscaling... good results, much improved PQ.

Afaik, tak bolih.

U can sideload the APK, it may work partially...

Only SD channels. Hd ones takpakai.

Assteruk doesn't want it to be used on any TV, any box.. they will do everything in their power to stop it.

Only for mobile.

They got thicker!!

It used to work for SD channels.

Think they hv successfully plugged everywhere except for maybe a couple of older devices.

New devices, new TVs, no chance.
