lately i bought a unit of MX500 500GB SATA SSD, while waiting for it to reach my place i realize the seller stated on their page they only provide 3 years limited warranty, whereas other local sellers are giving 5 years warranty, heck i even found the pictures of the ssd box on the internet, it says limited 5 year warranty at the back.
today i asked the seller, and they say 3 years warranty only.
can seller refuse to honor the full warranty period? or the warranty itself should be honored by Crucial instead of seller? rclxub.gif

I don't think seller that doing the warranty, they only intermediate between buyer and Crucial. Try email Crucial ask what their warranty and where to send for warranty. Can also name the seller to Crucial for giving misleading info. laugh.gif

bought on 11.11
support 1 nvme + 1 sata
can boot perfectly unlike my previous Orico PSM2-X16, last time i use this orico only can use the nvme for storage drive, if use as boot up drive it will boot but after restart pc then bios won't detect the boot drive anymore.

I have this as well. But stopped using it since my motherboard now has 3 x M.2 NVMe slots
So a converter is no longer necessary

Hello experts..

My Setup now

Z390 Gigabyte Aorus Master which from the website it says
Chipset:
1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SATA and PCIe x4/x2 SSD support) (M2M)
1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SATA and PCIe x4/x2 SSD support) (M2A)
1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280 PCIe x4/x2 SSD support) (M2P)
6 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors

Currently Have
1x Samsung 970 Evo NVMe M.2 250GB (Boot Drive)
1x ADATA SX8200 Pro NVMe M.2 500GB (Programs/Games)
1x WB Blue 2TB Sata HDD (Storage)

Im thinking of adding a 1TB Sata SSD for storage purposes only.

Is there any limitations if i purchase another NVME ssd? Or should i just get a 2.5inch Sata ssd?

For storage purpose only can go for 2.5 inch sata ssd. If performance is not your main concern, can save few bucks.

really? please post the link to that particular video. something must be missing, because afaik heat sinks help to reduce heat even under heavy conditions for me.

thanks a lot. yes, i watched this before. it's about putting thermal pad on controller only, not on nand flash; and don't cool ssds too much (the 25c part).

from that video, heat sink is still relevant for controller. the better thing to do when heat sink is used, is to trim the thermal pad to cover controller only.

I think heatsinks will be more necessary for pcie 4.0 ones as they run hotter. pcie 3.0 ones should do fine right?
