QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Oct 31 2020, 12:56 PM) for productivity task. so now guess the crappy phison a no brainer for boost unless 970evo plus drops in price. Yup. At least most of Phison based SSD TBW ratings are high. Samsung thinks their tax is worth it. We can't do much about it.

QUOTE(pandera999 @ Oct 31 2020, 09:58 PM) spreader tot it was heatsink This is what a proper NVMe heatsink looks like: It has fins to maximize the surface area to help in releasing the heat The aluminium plate provided by ADATA doesn't have any fins to release the heat. It's actually trapping the heat inside This post has been edited by sHawTY: Oct 31 2020, 10:45 PM

Is PNY CS3030 on par/better compared to SX8200 Pro in terms of durability & maintaining speed on the long run? Any problems that should take in consideration before buying?

QUOTE(pandera999 @ Nov 1 2020, 02:13 AM) die lo... its inside my mobo liao.. under gpu... Unless you're doing open loop liquid cooling like me, I don't see a problem with removing the GPU Also, be extra careful when removing the heat spreader as the sticker is quite strong The easiest way to remove it is by running stress test on the SSD so it's hot & toasty The glue will melt when it's hot enough

QUOTE(gedebe @ Nov 1 2020, 04:35 AM) which one is better, Kingston A400 480GB SSD SATA 2.5 or the above SP 512GB SSD with cache? Price almost simillar. SLC cache is not DRAM. SLC cache is to help give max speed write, up till the cache is full. Example of SSD writing at max speed due to SLC cache and then the speed slow down once cache is full. https://www.anandtech.com/show/8520/sandisk...40gb-ssd-reviewAccording to this Google spreadsheet SSD list it doesn't have DRAM, but this A55 256GB review show there's NANYA's DRAM module.

I'm using it myself on ADATA SX8200 Pro 1TB and it fits perfectly under the graphic card https://shopee.com.my/product/135044878/2804270343QUOTE(waghyu @ Nov 1 2020, 04:08 PM) Any kind of this with fan available to be more effective? Attached fan would be more effective ofcourse but it's not really necessary A good heatsink is enough as long as the airflow in the case is good This post has been edited by sHawTY: Nov 1 2020, 04:23 PM
