QUOTE(Mr Leo @ Sep 28 2017, 07:47 PM) Hi guys, I just got my free upgrade from 30Mbps to 50Mbps today. I am from Sarawak and I realize that TM renew my contract as well. Anyone get the contract refresh too? I thought TM surprise upgrade is without any contract extension? It's not renewed, don't worry. Mine also shows 20th Feb which is the date I got my free upgrade. It's confirmed by various parties, no extension. |

Need some advice here....im currently using streamyx BB deal 1mbps RM110.
Now Unifi Lite plan is 10mbps RM129. I was thinking of changing plan to unifi. What's the different between this two type for download volume, download speed, upload speed? Unifi Lite plan is better than streamyx? Thanks. This post has been edited by rinapua: Sep 29 2017, 09:04 AM |

QUOTE(rinapua @ Sep 29 2017, 08:44 AM) Need some advice here....im currently using streamyx BB deal 1mbps RM110. Streamyx 1Mbps RM110+GST: Download speed 1.5Mbps, Upload 0.4Mbps, Free Calls to TM fixed line numbers, Others 10sen/min.Now Unifi Lite plan is 10mbps RM129. I was thinking of changing plan to unifi. What's the different between this two type for download volume, download speed, upload speed? Unifi Lite plan is better than streamyx? Thanks. [+ Itemized billing RM1, Caller Line Identification Presentation RM3] Unifi Lite RM129+GST: Download speed 10Mbps, Upload 5Mbps, No free calls. 10sen per 30 seconds. bundled with HyppTV everywhere account. [If FTTH - Fibre to your House, itemized billing and CLIP are F.O.C.] or Add STD20 RM20 (Total RM149+GST): 600 minutes call to any local numbers (incl mobile, other operators), then free calls to TM FL numbers. Unifi Lite RM178+GST: No HyppTV everywhere, but bundled with Unifi Mobile (Webe RM79, Free calls, unlimited Internet). So you can drop your existing mobile plan. |

Unifi Lite RM129+GST : Download speed 10Mbps, Upload 5Mbps Only need to pay more RM19 permonth and can get faster speed. Should be worth it. But need to stick to contract 24 months? |

QUOTE(rinapua @ Sep 29 2017, 09:47 AM) Streamyx 1Mbps RM110+GST: Download speed 1.5Mbps, Upload 0.4Mbps Don't compare apple to orange. Different products and different technologies offered by TM. They are not created equal.Unifi Lite RM129+GST : Download speed 10Mbps, Upload 5Mbps Only need to pay more RM19 permonth and can get faster speed. Should be worth it. But need to stick to contract 24 months? Monthly difference is RM20.15 (incl 6% GST), provided you don't make calls. All the streamyx (ADSL technology) users should migrate to Unifi, when ADSL becomes obsolete. It is just a matter of time. There are some one-off cost you need to prepare, installation (free or pay for better installation, up to you), reset alarm, CCTV, TV box etc. Contract for Unifi is 24 months, but you can terminate anytime by paying penalty, up to RM860 in 1st year, RM500 in 2nd year. But subject to price reduction and speed upgrade, as proposed by the Government in Budget 2017. |
