Getting Started

|
Hi, My Taman is equipped with UNIfi Infra for at least 6 year now however TM had missed my Jalan and the next one which is adjacent. Apart from that, almost the whole Taman had Unifi.. TM reason is low demand.. however I can confirm that we have alot of demand.. I've even collect the demand list for these 2 Jalan. I need to know how to submit this demand list to someone who can make decision.
If there's any authorized dealer that can help my situation, pls PM me for more details of location and other details, I have the demand list ready with information and signatures.
Thanks

Thanks This case. need to go to your state TM head office. find the manager of the head office. then ask them to commercialize the ports for your jalan. probably need to take 1 month or so. my house also same case as yours. i request the taman committee to meet the state TM HQ manager. he will authorize and monitor the team to open/commercialize the port for that jalan. DONT GO TO THOSE SMALL SMALL TM BRANCH. THEY CANT DO ANYTHING. DIRECTLY GO TO STATE TM HQ . LOOK FOR MANAGER.

QUOTE(Chrono-Trigger @ Jan 19 2018, 11:18 AM) I got a bit of error as they pro-rated my HypTV at earlier date than installation date, hence extra RM10++ for the Jumbo pack RM60. The discount for me was reflected on the internet subscription portion -RM200 but not on HypTV jumbo pack portion. Due to this, the prorate to Jumbo pack was based on RM60, not discounted RM10 (RM60 - discount RM50). Well, I am happy with 100mbps , so that extra few ringgit, never mind la. My HyppTV was also pro-rated 1 day earlier than my installation date resulting in additional $1.94. It would be fine if I watched HyppTV but I don't...

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Jan 19 2018, 01:01 AM) Nope....won't be lagging. As long as you configure it properly. Example of TP-Link C1200 QOS, in this case, I don't use QOS as I am the only one at home now. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Begin with setting up Upload and Download Bandwidths to 10Mbps and 30Mbps (if you select Unifi 30Mbps) Then modify the slider for High Priority, if you are greedy, maybe 90%? It won't actually affect your bro connectivity. Example, if your device (phone/laptop/console) is not actively in use or not connected, your bro devices can make full use of 30Mbps bandwidth for himself. Only when your devices start to utilize the bandwidth, then the QOS rule will take effect and reserve 90% of the bandwidth to your devices. Select By Device Well, choose your device for the QOS rule? Any idea how to do the same bandwidth QoS by SSID instead of device? For instance, create 2 SSID - main (primary) and a guest (secondary), anyone who connected with primary SSID will have bandwidth priority while the secondary or any preferred SSID in QoS rule will have low bandwidth priority if primary is utilizing the bandwidth based on reserved %.

QUOTE(jamkuwong @ Jan 18 2018, 04:17 PM) In my case I requested to downgrade only when contract end. I walk in to TM point and request. My contract has ended. And I asked about downgrading from my current Thankyou Surprise 50Mbps to 30Mbps at the TM Live Chat. And I was told that the 30Mbps at RM139 is for new installation/application only. I will need to apply for a new line for this 30Mbps@RM139 package. So I guess TM Point will be able to handle this downgrade request without applying for new line?

Nope, C1200 has no such functionality to setup QOS by different SSID.

I believe C1200 cannot but C5 can. Not QoS but limit bandwidth by SSID. e.g: MainSSID: 20mbps, MyPersonalSSID: 100mbps, etc... I guess to make up for that, C1200 has VPN that the C5 doesn't.
