Hi, is TM Edu Pack RM99 for 10 Mbps still available today? I read the PDF/lowyat link said the promotion is until December 2018, but the official flyer said till 2017 only.

lodged a report complain about inconsistent of upload and download speed.

Technician come and one shot changed all the equipment. BTU and router

BTU - white color huawei
Router - Tp link AC1200.

the existing router was mine Asus and surprising they did not take back the old black color huawei BTU.

so now i got spare stuff, which im pretty sure is fine.

Describe yr home, distance.

Rtn12... hp? d or b1?

When 50mbps, my rtn12hp_b1 can deliver full 50mbps wifi 50ft.

But if u plan to go 100mbps, go for better, ac router.

I now use rtac1300uhp, full speed, good stuff.

Not that far away, I moved my PC downstairs, previously upstairs can barely connect to wifi. I measured if I were to get ethernet cable, I'd need about 25-30 meters.

If calculate distance, somewhere around 10 meters? Under 50 ft. Got wall in between PC and router. Router is in living room, PC is in office room.

On a side note, is the +RM10 upgrade promo still available?

after real measurement, i think i need a 50meter cable bangwall.gif , i have dogs and robot vacuum at home so the cable will have to go through ceiling, it's quite a big mess. thinking of calling someone to do it. do you know the rate for asking somebody to come pull cable?

alright will call. actually my younger sis's bf called for an upgrade about two months ago, i was busy with work recently and totally forgotten about it sweat.gif

if u can afford the time, money and "mess", ethernet is always better.

but in my years, i never had to...

never had to do homeplug, extender, repeater...

just wifi with rtn12hp_b1 and now rtac1300uhp - both served their purpose very well.

Try a different LAN cable if you have. 7ms on wired is slow.
Mine is <1ms on wired...

i'm really surprised how you can get maximum speed using wifi, are there no interference?

i've tested AP and wifi extender, both sucks. currently using wifi extender for phone usage upstairs.

yeah thank god I still have a 25-30meters cat5e cable from my old house like 13 years ago. roughly tried measuring, definitely need a 50meter, might buy a coupler with a 25/35m cat5e to extend.

ever heard of coupler reducing speed or increasing latency?
