I see.  Thanks for the explanation! Sucks to not be able to game or stream video for the next few days.

But I'm guessing if it's cable issue,  tm would be covering the cost of repairs so I don't need to pay the rm53 visitation fee?

Yes correct. Don't worry.

Why worrying? You should be happy now.
It is likely the additional fibre lines are extensions to your nearby housing estate / lorong which are yet to get the new service.
If you are using FTTH, you are ready to enjoy 1Gbps in the future.
Also extra bandwidth (4Tbps) had just been installed to East Malaysia recently which we might have faced congestion in the past (only 0.4Tbps).

Just airing the old mentality frustration if they just installed the line for 30 Mbps and now have to install another line for a higher Mbps. Yes, there might be budget constrain last year but still should have a better and proper design planning platform.

My house is along a cul de sac, no new additional housing is possible at this end. So not for new housing. Maybe demand for Unifi per household here is higher than they originally planned?

Look forward to the 50 Mbps though I dont think I will really see the speed improvement in my usage here. Getting streaming movie pauses but that is not because of my 30 Mbps limitation. More on line congestion, server congestion etc.

Thanks! laugh.gif

I was worried that I might be screwed again by agent and forced to pay for hypptv subscription for all different packs....hahaha...........

My first unifi installation was so smooth.......I wonder why my second installation experience was so horrible.. dry.gif

Right now I got two different unifi accounts for my House A and House B.

1) House B previously had streamyx (Unipack 4Mbps RM88, streamyx account under my name, homeline account under my dad name).
2) I registered for 30-->50Mbps upgrade before 28 Feb for House B, too bad fiber ain't ready yet, thus my unifi installation started on August.
3) Installer and new agents said there will be no free upgrade for my package, so I refused the installation. Then TM wanna charge me RM200 for unifi termination bangwall.gif .
4) No choice but to agree for installation to proceed. cry.gif
5) -.- Apparently the agent f*cked up, agent selected 'homeline' termination instead of porting the number to unifi VOBB. I went to TM and they said I can't get the homeline number back. My mum scolded me kaw kaw. Then my dad also bombed me kaw-kaw. ranting.gif

.....So...... sweat.gif you understand my frustration now ? My original homeline number was gone, I can't get free speed upgrade and I am paying RM190(GST inclusive) instead of my previous RM93.30(GST inclusive) Streamyx 4Mbps.

Maybe try to lodge ur complaint to MCMC? Since ur previous homeline is under ur dad's name, how can the agent help u to terminate? I tot need the owner visit TM Point to terminate/change owner name base on my previous experience? Since this is the agent's fault and ur parent wish to keep the number, complain to MCMC about their careless…

Exactly what you said on different account owners!

I lodged report with MCMC......but MCMC said, TM somehow have my dad termination approval. confused.gif I suspect somebody inside TM must had faked my dad signature or approval.
Because of this, my report is considered as invalid. doh.gif

connect to the tplink router's lan port 1 or 2 or 3. Port 4 is reserved for IPTV if you are using IPTV.
