DiGi has no VoLTE service for modems. Only smartphones. Just plug-in a DECT cordless phone and see whether it works clearly for both ends.

I can't imagine now DiGi infinite throttled the http download, I just download 30MB files and it took 30 minutes @ 10-30 Kbps/ sec... But I can watch youtube > 15Mbps

I tried on my note 8 phone to download the 1.4G firmware, it totally cannot move, but I can watch 1080p youtube on my phone without problem.

That's weird because I never face with this kind of issue. Though not full speed (like shown on Speedtest) but it is still fast around 10-12MBps on my phone when I download.

I've changed to other band 3, band 7, band 3+7 all http download speed were throttled. My monthly usage just below 170GB, I rare download, only doing Windows 10 updates, Firmware update, google play apps update, youtube, web site.

I've no idea why throttled, even I'm using postpaid 80 also same throttled.

How about apps updates?

I just tried to download app from google play, the speed can reach > 10Mbps. But I did the Speedtest.net and fast.com, the speed very worst, only 3-5Mbps... I watch youtube, the speed can > 10Mbps too.

I tried the Infinit 150 & postpaid 80 plan on my galaxy note 8 phone...

is it the speed still slowl when u run speedtest app? if the speed suddenly faster for sure digi is throttling u

Could it be peak period or usage on your area when you try?

I did test download 1GB file this morning and getting constant 4-5MB/s the entire time. File completed around 10mins.

Firmwares, the uploaders are storing it in a server which they need $$ if u want higher bandwidth, otherwise it's free + small bandwidth.

Sometimes, even if you download softwares from other prominent websites(G Drive, Dropbox), they do not throttle but maybe there is a spike of users for their service at the moment.

If all these doesnt apply to you, the download = p2p kind which DiGi throttle or just DiGi decides to give you a hard time.

For me, real download speed is better that speedtest or fast.com.
This is true at least for Steam and Origin downloads.

Maybe it’s slow to some servers only. You try to do a Speedtest against the Digi server.

I updated my Note 8 firmware to Oreo last night during peak hour. Speeds were pretty acceptable and decent. Managed to complete within under 15 minutes. Strange that you are able to stream 1080p youtube but slow on downloads.

TM also offer new wireless broadband where user can buy the modem also.
