My complete sequence would be : Drive → Press Brake Pedal → Come to a Complete Stop → Engage Parking Gear → Engage Parking Brake → Release Brake Pedal smile.gif

edit - I'm sure you're right though - iinm the correct learners method is to put it in parking brake first, then only put it in P. It's just the way I have been doing for the past 15 years, but I never take my foot off the foot brakes until the parking brake is fully engaged.
*
I think keeping the foot on the brakes until the electronic parking brake has fully engaged makes a difference in our case. I personally feel that this new type of parking brake removes the usual "slippage" that occurs in conventional hand brakes. For me, I'm a creature of habit too. Sometimes I tend to release the brake pedal before the electronic parking brake has fully engaged.

Sorry to see this damage... seems like you might've hit a kerb somewhere. Not sure if you can repair it though... replacing the rim would cost RM1k+ from Honda iinm - but you can find a number of people selling their stock rims due to them buying a new set of aftermarket wheels.

Thanks for your reply, appreciate it.

I just contacted one tyre shop in klang, and they say, they do help on rim repairing, cost around 100 - 150, and the rim should be looking as fresh as new after repairing & polishing, gonna visit the shop on this Sat to check out.

skimming literally polish off some metals on the damaged part. skimming it will slightly weakened the rim(depends how badly damage it is)

Are those McGard or those cap ayam? Btw even for the McGard, it is recommended to tighten and open manually, not the usual gun used.

I see the photo up close there is some "texture" to it... if you skim it still have the "texture or that wheel will be smooth smooth finished instead?

i went to the shop just now, the staff there was telling me the same, it would slightly weakened the rim in terms of quality n they will do it on the entire rim, instead of just fixing the damaged part. If just to polish the damaged part, the scar will be obvious.

Now i m considering if i shall go n get a new rim replaced.
