I just 165, not tall...
Oh, means we can do the adjustments like this,
Ok, will give another try next time.

Thanks for the suggestion.
*
I'm 180. I find the seats comfortable enough but you need to get the adjustments right. I had it set perfectly before until a car wash changed the setting. Then it took a while for me to get it back to the right setting for myself.
Try playing with the seat adjustments a bit.

I can't tell the secs but it is noticeable from standing start, and I still don't get used to how hard should I press throttle to get instant moving fast the car compared to my old NA car, that it moves at once. Next time maybe I should try S mode when come to T junction or roundabout..
*
I get what you mean and I feel the same too. My old 2.0 NA shoots off faster than the 10th Gen Civic from stand still but once the Civic goes past 1.5k rpm, big smile mode is on. I think this is a combination of the CVT and the turbo lag at the first 500 rpm or so. In any case, drive safe. Plan and time the entry into junctions and roundabouts properly and allow for unexpected events. Better to be safe than sorry.

Few days already with the FC. Mostly just sitting in the porch... still admiring it from all angle.

It just bested my trusty '09 City sharing the other half of the porch, except the speaker system... Both standard stock, City 6 speakers; FC 8 speakers. It's quite an obvious lost to the Civic at any volume level sad.gif  I didn't expect this.

EDIT: I read it again and it may sound confusing. So just to be clear, I mean the Civic 8 speakers system lost to the City 6 speakers  doh.gif
*
Agree with you there. The sound system in the Civic is really sub-par. I'm thinking of upgrading it at some point after the warranty is over. Until then, just have to live with it.

a FD 1.8 overtake my TC ar 140kmh..the cvt in D mode very very not so respond..
*
Shift to S and press a bit more. Watch the rpms zip up to 4k with satisfying grunt from the engine. I was pleasantly surprised when I used S mode a couple of days ago. All this while I stayed in D-Econ or D at most with rpm rarely exceeding 2.5k. Never needed to enter S, until someone totally pissed me off. A word of caution, if you're doing it, be careful. 200kmh isn't that far away. Before you know it you'll be hitting the speed limiter.

Guys, need an opinion for 1.5 TC VS  1.5 TC-P. I see most of the stuff is cosmetics. Only two things I consider important, Air cond Duo Auto and Navigation. Is it really useful or can I live without it ?

Personally I prefer Waze or google map for GPS map, (I am an iphone user).
*
For me, all of the above is useful and I use it frequently. Lately my phone has been acting up and the navigation comes in real handy. Dual AC, this one is more for my gf who loves to change the AC temp every time she's in the car. Now she can change it for her side....although in the long run, the temperature in the cabin will stabilize.. What I love the most though, are those headlights. They're not purely cosmetics either. The LED liights are brighter and do project farther than halogen lights......and they're just so damn beautiful.

Just sat in colleague's Civic (December 2016 car), I find his reverse camera very soft or maybe out of focus. Is this normal?

Curious if the newer batches of Civics have the same reverse camera as the City FL... which seems to be soft...
*
They're all like that I think. It's not so clear.

Musty or damp smell coming out from the air-cond vent. Anyone experienced it before?
Need advice.
*
I get it on and off. No idea why. Only lasts a couple of minutes. Gonna ask SC to check on next service.

Hey guys,
I just noticed that during braking the base of my driver's seat moves ever so slightly. I feel it the most when coming to a stop. It's almost like it's a bit loose. Anyone else have this or is this normal?

Dear all, I've been stalking this thread starting from v4(roughly) till now. Thanks all the sifus for all the helpful information so far. I've finally decided to buy a civic and now dilemma-ing for colors. This is my first time buying a new car (been driving second hand cars), so finally get to choose a color for a car.

My first choice is WOP, followed by LS and Black. I don't have much experience with car so I would like to ask for advice about some drawbacks(or benefits) while going with each colors. My main concern is bout maintainace cause I heard white cars is quite hard to maintain. Would like to hear from all the sifus here. Thanks very much in advance. P/s: I currently owning a red car.
*
I've owned mostly black cars and they're a pain to maintain. Dust and dirt is clearly visible especially after driving in the rain. If you want ease of maintenance, stay away from black. With that said, black is my favourite colour for cars so the effort in maintenance is worth it for me.

@isr25 @Newbie838 thanks for sharing your opinions. It seems like maintainance wise, silver check most of the boxes in comparison with other colors. I'm still keen towards white atm. smile.gif

Do you guys apply any coating(or something similar along the line). Do you think it worth the investment for long term maintenance purposes ?
*
I've got Ceramic Pro on my car. Silver package. If anything, it's good for protection. Bird poop and just about anything else wipes right off with a piece wet tissue paper. Washing the car is also so much easier as the dirt simply falls off. More than that, well....there ain't much. It's mostly for protection. Ceramic Pro does a good job but if you're hard working, you could save the money and wax it yourself. Just my 2 cents.

I just serviced my car last week and they didn't upgrade the HU firmware. I wonder what's the changelog for the new one.

i am more interested if the OS version can be upgraded. hyundai ioniq have a newer version comes with 5.1.1
*
Same here. The OS on our HU is really outdated. Newer versions are quicker, more stable and has better memory management. Knowing Honda though, I'll be very surprised if they actually upgrade it.

Hi bro, how did u manage to stick form into the reading light sensor area? Mind to share how u removed the casing ?
*
I'm wondering the same also. If it's something we can DIY, I'd prefer that. I just hate going to Honda SC. So far I've been to 2 different SC and both times the SA appeared irritated when I tell them to check on issues. No wonder Honda got rating it did for Customer Service.

Guys i tinted my Civic with Huper Optik and this is what i see at the rear tint at night (picture is from other forum). Is this normal?user posted image
*
I'm using Huper Optik too. It'll be like that for a week or 2 while the tint cures. Parking in the sun helps. If it's still the same after 2 weeks or you find any other defects after that period, take it back to for them to rework it.

My 1.8 arriving next week, had my dealer upgrade to full leather for 3k. According to my dealer, the ones that come with tc and tcp are only half leather.
*
Really? Which parts are not leather? I'm interested to know.

Should be side of the seats, where you're not seated. Opting for full leather covers all seats, including back, arm rest, and door panels. This upgrade is 3k including gst.

If anyone interested can pm me 😄
*
What's the other material they're using? I checked my seats and I can't find any part that's not leather. Arm rest, door panel look and feel like leather too.

Honda Civic very weird one, the rear seat most left and right side is plastic ._. while the Honda City comes with cushion lol.

Haha...yeah. I found it quite odd also. Makes the car look cheap in my opinion.

I agree with celciuz. THe steering wheel is easily scratched by rings. Mine was scatched by worker during the car wash before going for tinting.
Really damn sad.
*
Yeah. It's unbelievable how easily this thing gets scratched. Mine got scratched by my finger nails which are not even that long. I accidentally scraped it while getting out of the car and now it has a nice scratch on the top right near the sports grips. doh.gif

Saw this too but not sure if it is as good (precisely cut) as Groovy ...
*
I'm using Groovy Shades and have been using since my previous car. Their product just feels better than the others and their support is really good. It appears that not all Civic FC fits properly for the sunshades. There's some minor variations in the window sizes which leads to the sunshades being too big on some cars. I have somewhat volunteered myself for testing their new iterations. They fixed the sizing issue for all windows except the driver's window. Currently I'm waiting for the newest iteration which should fix this issue. It's a bit troublesome to keep going back for testing but I'm not complaining. At least they're putting in the effort to attend to customer complaints and fix it.
