very subjective. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so choose whatever color you fancy laa.

Guys, where do you guys change Michelin PS4 tyre? Surveying the best price

Need to call a few places to get the best deal, but I just went with the closest, coz my company pays for my car maintenance biggrin.gif

Hi guys,

My car just got a tiny stone chip sad.gif

I know that we can buy diy touch up to fix it.

However, my problem is that I do not know how to smooth the area before touch up.

The chipped area is like "timbul" a bit. Do I need to smooth it before apply the diy? Or should i polish it?

The area is near the front hood.

Thx fo advise smile.gif

Yes, you need to sand the divot by using a very small piece of sandpaper, but i'd advise you to fill it first using the touchup paint kit. after it dries, then only you use the rubbing compound to smoothen the surface. Use the sandpaper if it's still rough.

You'd want to make sure that the sandpaperis rounded at the bottom - use a pencil

Thx for the reply.
I have wax the car before the chip.

Any additional step for me b4 apply the diy?

The EZY touchup have a kit which include all the necessary paints (which include preparation paint).

Just follow the steps in the kit with no extra step?

Thx wink.gif
*
If you bought the kit, it should have everything you need - including the wax/grease remover.

Wax & Grease --> Basecoat --> Clearcoat --> Rubbing Compound

You may want to sand it later, if you still can feel the bumps. To me, I just leave the bump smile.gif

My car will reach 1 year old on 25/06/2017 (Hari Raya!). So far, still love to drive the car everywhere - and the mileage is almost the same as you guys ±15K KM. My VSA modulator is starting to sound on uneven roads (sometimes), and I already got used to the CVT warm-startup sound. Other than that, I have no major issues with the car biggrin.gif

anyone know how to use the USB flash port to run the music?
can we just plug in USB drive in it? or must link with Ipod/Iphone...
if USB drive can use, what is the music format should use?

thank you
*
USB must be in FAT32, can be in MP3 format.

Same here. Bro VSA they updated firmware for mine so far so good.

Warm up sound still there.

Driver side dashboard no more rattling but now glove compartment sounds like there's a clip detached.

No other issues so far. Happy.
*
Ok, thanks for the update! Will inform them this Friday to update the VSA smile.gif

No. Although there are a few beta releases out since 4.24.0.113 (4.25.0.1, 4.25.0.2, 4.25.0.901 and 4.25.0.902), they are all Beta versions of the "normal" Waze which does not support Android Auto... For now, the only Waze which supports Android Auto is version 4.24.0.113

Most people now use Hondata, rather than racechip. But I don't use coz prefer reliability.

On/off button not responding. Tried off and start back car also no changes. Should bring to centre for checking.
*
My HU was unresponsive once before, including the on/off button. But when I long-pressed the on/off buttong (around 20-25sec), the HU restarted and everything was ok again. I was driving on the highway then, and didn't try to turn off the car, but I'd imagine it should work...

However, bringing it to the SC is also ok - might be a faulty HU

Yup, our engine needs slightly less than 4L of engine oil. My old FD2, needs about 4.5L.

IINM, 0W-30 is RM186 for 4L.

i never bother to do it outside although it is much cheaper.

not sure if i should do it next time.
*
I would've done it at the SC, but they're not offering it today - no staff coz most are already on leave.

It's recommended that we should do it every servicing for more evenly weared tyres.
