guys,

Modern Steel Metallic or White Orchid Pearl?

so konfius lah to choose.

It all boiled down to your preferences, and also how often you like to wash your car. LOL. MSM requires slightly less washes as compared with WOP. But if there is an additional clear coating, cleaning off the dirt would be easier.

If you urgently need a car, ask the SA also which colour would get the car faster.

If in the end can't decide, leave the decision to your wife/husband, or flip a coin. Haha.

Hope this helps!

SA just contacted me. My car will arrive on 20/7  rclxm9.gif

Should be able to pick up by 24/7 after they settle all the paper work.

All in all, about 5 weeks to delivery. Definitely not the fastest but OK la.
*
Wow, that's very fast! Which colour and model are you getting?

Mine Lunar Silver TC booke din early March, until now still pending arrival. mad.gif vmad.gif

Talking about white light, the DRL in the new batch of civic seems pretty dimmed as compared with 2016 batch. Perhaps this is to counter numerous complain of the light being too bright to other road users?

I asked a few Honda dealers and some SA call me up, thanks to my friend. This is before and after Raya. Discount is from 2k to 5.5k for TCP. Some give discount but no freebies. I think Raya promotion have nothing to do with discount, as some dealers offers only 2k discount before Raya.

Honda does not have their own sales branch in Malaysia, they rely on dealers to sell. From my understanding not all follow Honda's policies.

Try tookar.my

They are quite responsive.

SA registered the chasis for you already
even got defect also what can you do? mostly ask you back during 1000km service
*
You can ask the SA not to register with JPJ and inspect the car first. I did. Discovered bad paint job on the rim.

Ive been approached by a workshop said their workshop is honda panel. If send to Honda SC they will send to them.

Is that true? Afraid if they replace not ori part
*
Just ignore all workshops that approached you. Some are there to cari makan. I know how confusing and annoying this can be.
Just go to the Honda SC and let them sort it out.

Tinting affects light sensor sensitivity for 1.5 Turbo

Guys,
Would like to check with you. After you tint the windscreen with darker tint, do you realize the headlights (auto mode) turns on at slightly dimmed area, even though it is still day time? This is because of the dark tint which filters out some light.

Do you know how to fix this on the sensor? example to adjust the light sensor sensitivity to lower...

please advise...
*
You can go into the touchscreen setting and try adjust light sensitivity. Not sure whether that's the setting for sensor but worth a try

Got the car recently 1.5 TC and very happy with the overall driving experience.
The only minor nag I have, damn missed out the welding point inspection, the driver door side has bad welding joint. Sigh. Noticed also the inner part of boot lid also has one uneven spot that got painted over. Lol.
So this is the difference between local CKD and fully imported cbu hybrid that I drove before.

Just done a long distance drive. 1st tank of fuel. 6 hours journey over 350km. Include 1 hours plus slow traffic on highway (0-30km/h). During smooth traffic 110- 135km/h. Fuel consumption on display: 16.9km/l

Very impressive I should say for a first fuel in.

Maintenance for 1.8 and 1.5 is similar, only that 1.5 may need to change engine oil more often. Some people think 1,000km/first service die die must change engine oil, and become angry coz Honda says no need.

Vroom Vroom la man. It's your car, so you should enjoy your ride 100% smile.gif
*
Agreed about the the change engine oil part. Taking a quote from old Hond FAQ site, I ccan't find the latest post there...

http://owners.honda.com/help/faqs#faq-0
"Your Honda engine was delivered with an oil that is specially formulated for new engines that have not yet developed their "natural" wear patterns and may contain minute particles from the manufacturing process.

American Honda strongly recommends this special oil be left in the engine long enough for these wear patterns to develop, usually until the first maintenance interval specified in your Owner's Manual, based on your specific driving conditions."

I will check back the Malaysian version manual for confirmation. Left it in my car. Haha.

I concur! SC that gives too many excuses without the sincerity to try to fix something really got on my nerves.

To all civic sifus,
Did you noticed that during low speed or standstill, if you turn your steering wheel to the left or right, you will feel a slight raised in the front of the car and reclined back to normal again as you turn the steering wheel.
Is this the current wheel setup? The older gen Civic and new city didn't have such setup.
Thanks.

Having owned P1 & Hondas along the way, at least I haven't received such comments in Honda SC when lodging warranty claim or fault: Biasalah bang, ini kan buatan malaysia. lol.
Have a great monday everyone.

Anyone has similar issue?
