Hmm was thinking with current car technology wondering technically if we still need to manually do this. Same goes if we need to switch N during traffic red light stop etc.

Don't think it's really needed anymore, but it's something I do smile.gif No need to switch to N - use brake hold tongue.gif

Exactly what I always do thumbup.gif . Now its my 5th day driving the car and I absolutely love it. My Sales person is really patient in handling queries after queries even if its annoying biggrin.gif .

grats. I'm also looking fwd to get mine too. wop is really nice color but mine is lunar silver.

I think sales person that attended to me has the least hassle, I did not ask much just sit in pax front seat went for a ride to warehouse to check stock then paid. should be getting it tmr or day after (hopefully).

imo, new gen cars no need to off ac when shutdown. I'll just leave mine permanently on.

mods to come later on as I will slowly shop n make decisions on what or what not to mod.

Thanks. I was in a dilemma between Lunar silver and WOP, took me awhile to choose, finally ended up with white biggrin.gif biggrin.gif . Well yeah it took me about 3 months plus to get the car as it was out of stock and issue with the loan. Its like a habit actually to off the ac. Practice since way before hehe. Yeah sure some prefer other bodykit then modulo. So do a through search before deciding as there are alot of wonderful bodykits out there. Good luck and congrats in advance.

i understand that our civic is having 47 liters of fuel tank capacity, anyhow i have one curiosity

My fuel low indicator lighted up on digital panel show that estimated there is still 40++KM to go, i immediately drive to petrol station and pump in full which approximate ~40 liters of fuel. This mean in fact my tank still left 7 liters before i re-fuel.

Base on estimated fuel consumption of 15km/liters, i suppose able to drive another ~100km, somehow how come the estimation done by car computer show that i left with 40++ km?

Anybody did continue drive at the moment that car computer estimation <0km? Thanks for advise

Nope. I just turn off the engine and walk out. Stopped turning everything off since my last car. These new cars take care of these things for you. But of course there's pros and cons. In my case, the cons is when I drive my partner's MyVi, I do the same thing and draw some flak about my driving habits. Lol.

Just wondering here. Shouldn't it be Drive → Engage Parking Brake → Release brake pedal → Engage Parking Gear ?
Engaging the parking gear first would put strain on the gearbox instead of the parking brakes. I've experienced this in older cars when parked on a steep slope where even after engaging the parking brake, the car will still slide a little before the parking brake stops it.

My complete sequence would be : Drive → Press Brake Pedal → Come to a Complete Stop → Engage Parking Gear → Engage Parking Brake → Release Brake Pedal smile.gif

edit - I'm sure you're right though - iinm the correct learners method is to put it in parking brake first, then only put it in P. It's just the way I have been doing for the past 15 years, but I never take my foot off the foot brakes until the parking brake is fully engaged.
