QUOTE(danilo5753 @ Aug 24 2007, 07:54 PM) 1 more question . If i have go to gym frequently and i suddenly need to stop for some period, will my mussle become fat ? or i will become more fat than before ? In case you dunno what that means... its:QUOTE Lipomoronification The myth where people assume that fat cells and muscle cells are made of the same structure which are interchangeable. Scenario 1: When you're fat, and you start lifting weights, your fat turns into muscles. Scenario 2: I stopped weight training and my muscles have turned into fats. Both examples shows that people assume that the muscle cells and fat cells can change from one to another. In truth, this is not so. In scenario 1, what they will see from the results of a newer exercising lifestyle matched with a suitable diet is a reduction in bodyfat and increase in muscle mass. It is not the transformation of fat into muscles. In Scenario 2, a person who stops exercising and does NOT watch his diet (eating excessively) will experience a reduction in muscle size and an increase in fat amounts. This means that one increases as the other reduces. A muscle cell cannot transform into a fat cell and neither can a fat cell transform into a muscle cell. sauce: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lipomoronification so, to answer danilo5753, if you stop exercising, but then you continue to eat correctly, (enough protein to maintain muscles size and your total calories intake meets maintenance levels) your muscles should not shrink in size, and you would not put on weight/fats. Jezuz, u guys really hate me, nobody quote me
QUOTE(King83 @ Aug 24 2007, 01:28 PM) Remember the age old myth, My take on this, when bbers stop training, their muscle gets turned to fat? whoever said that always kena shoot with the explanation "muscle do not turn to fat, when u stop training, they simply shrink". IMHO To gain muscle, u eat heck alot... after years and years of training, u have grown used to the diet. If you stop training, but you still eat like a bodybuilder, you get fat. and that's where the myth came from. use some logic. Muscles enables you to move, while fats are simple energy storage. Both are composed of different things, so how can they be one another? IMHO |

QUOTE(Neek @ Aug 24 2007, 08:25 PM) In case you dunno what that means... its: Thanks mate , now i understand it already ..sauce: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lipomoronification so, to answer danilo5753, if you stop exercising, but then you continue to eat correctly, (enough protein to maintain muscles size and your total calories intake meets maintenance levels) your muscles should not shrink in size, and you would not put on weight/fats. So i can feel more comfortable to stop my training a bit , and eat enough protein to maintain my muscles Anyway , i dont really eat much if i dont do weight lifting ..coz i want my fat to be burn out . |

Hey guys, just wanna ask right... nowadays i drink milo + fruit as dinner. Why I choose milo is because it's free in my company's pantry, haha! But I wonder does it contain alot of sugar? Cos milo seems to be sweet drink also..
Btw, I have very little rice nowadays, with alot of dishes (vege/meat). And I swim for 1 hour almost everyday. The result.... I think I dint shake off even 1 kg for 1 week's effort. Damn! |

I didn't do any weightlifting. All I did was about 1 hour jog every evening and breakdown my meals in smaller portions and eat accordingly, and not take any fastfood like instant noodles, etc. In about 1 month I just shave about 2KG permanently. Can feel a bit different than before la...I get hungry quick. My body also toned down a bit that my friend can actually realize it.
I don't really take supper though. Usually I will just drink one or two glasses of cold water before going to sleep. But breakfast is a must for me. But then again, I've always been like a balloon. I think different ppl might get different result. I just need to slim down my face This post has been edited by soulfly: Sep 23 2007, 10:34 AM |

Cycling is cardio. I think you should read this article if you wanna lose those weight or fat or burn calories... What is High Intensity Interval training QUOTE(bidfordun @ Sep 23 2007, 01:08 PM) I think you should consider taking something more nutritious for your breakfast. If you're taking protein inthe morning, I suggest you blend your protein shake with a heap scoop of oatmeal and milk.. its nutritious and simply delicious Added on September 23, 2007, 5:30 pm QUOTE(soulfly @ Sep 23 2007, 11:33 AM) I guess you're one of the millions who have cute chubby face.. its better than a sinker or a sagger thoughThis post has been edited by 6a6y6lue: Sep 23 2007, 05:30 PM |
