if anyone wants to order EAP-773 (omada eco system), order via amazon website. It's HALF the price compared to shopee (yes that is also after calculating shipping and customs fee). No clue why.
https://www.tp-link.com/my/business-network...s-point/eap773/I tested it, it works good (only tested wifi 6e 6ghz. Also tested for 2.4ghz to connect to yeelight iot led bulb which it did just fine. Could not connect to epson l3250 printer, no idea why)
If you check tplink firmware for it for malaysia site, it also uses the US firmware. So shouldn't be an issue? Only warranty might have issue if later have a problem
I checked the one i received was using the latest hardware revision. I don't know what they changed, just know that it was the latest
Also with a recent firmware update, you can now use it with poe+ and it will have full functional 6ghz with the blued led indicator. Whereas before the update, you were restricted to poe++ otherwise, if you tried poe+ it will turn an orange led to indicate 6ghz is no longer functional since not enough power. Not an issue anymore.
Last i checked, 1 unit of EAP-773 is same price roughly as that of a BE65 (BE11000) from shopee.
I bought a Samsung S24 Ultra, but could not test wifi7 with the ap. Because the phone has issue with wifi7 x-x; hopefully an update for the phone by next year roughly fixes it.
But using the omada controller web ui and mobile app, wifi 7 on the ap seems to be active. Just don't have a client device with wifi 7 to connect to it. Only wifi 6e 6ghz

the omada ap doesn't require registering a tplink account, or signing in using one. You can create a local account. You also aren't forced to add your email (although if later you need to change password you can't unless you hardware reset your device manually). You also don't need to enable cloud (though you can if you want to, but i don't see why you would).
Mobile app also doesn't need to register/sign in tplink. Just add your local account to sign in to the ap.
In the omada setting you can disable pinging tplink for checking new firmware. Then you can simply just check manually yourself when needed only. Not constantly pinging tplink.
I came from ubiquiti ecosystem. Might not be as beautiful as that, but functionally it's fine, also the ui isn't that bad looking. They also did a good job with their mobile app.
Ubiquiti's newer u7 pro max has a heat thing in their UI. You don't get anything like that in the omada web ui or mobile app
