my bad then, not a user of ASUS device, but what I read is that when ASUS releases a new firmware, most of its devices even back to WiFi5 gen is able to support unless they specificied that it is not compatible for certain devices. which i think is very good as their firmware is more on software side, rather than hardware side, and standardized.

Tp Link, has too many revisions, broadcom, qualcomm, media tek, which makes it too fragmented like Xiaomi devices.

asus routers cost much than TP-link, although TP-link has too much models (confusing)

Can try to chat up with TP-link customer service on their website , maybe can offer you to repair or worse, buy another new same model.

or try ali express.

The ax rating plays a big role, you can still achieve 1Gbps with an AX rated 1500, but the coverage won't be big as an AX3000 above.

So if you want future proof, just get AX3000 or above if your budget allows.

Hi, would anyone know why my Sony Bravia TV (Android 10) will not connect to my Deco (BE65) mesh network. It connects just fine to either the 2.4 or 5 from the unifi router. Message on TV reads “Wi-Fi network didn’t accept connection”.
The Sony HTA7000 connects to the deco without a hitch.

Also, is there any possibility that the deco app will list tv as “phone” in the joined device list. I noticed a couple of “phones” which I proceeded to block. I don’t know if the TV has been “blocked” by mistake. Spent a good amount of the day changing WiFi passwords, and then all those of the devices. A real pain.

Hope someone here can advise. Thank you.

i mean. the simple answer would be to unblock and see if it connects up
or, go to tv settings, note down the MAC Address, and see if you accidentally blocked it

Yes, I did block it. Since deco password has been changed, i unblocked all the "blocked" devices. Sorry to trouble all, that was stupid of me.

I have used AX1800 and AX3000 previously although not the same brand, but ax1800 range is lower than AX3000, speed wise will still be the same.

Hi guys, is there any side effects if I disable IPv6? Is it okay if I just use IPv4 for now? Will be setting in router configuration.

Try turning off fast roaming in your Deco?
I didn't use BE65 but I had a similar problem with a LEAP-S1 android tv device with the Deco wii. From what I read it has something to do with the device not supporting fast roaming so when I turned that off the problem was solved.

blacktubi Boss, if you don't mind me asking since you are well versed with TP-Link products. Do you turn on IPv6 on your routers? I'm currently testing disabling IPv6 on my AX73 and so far it actually seems somewhat better by just being on IPv4 alone.

I don't bother with IPv6

Unless it's a special case, performance and routing is usually worst on IPv6 for foreign sites

Note: IPv6 and IPv4 can have very different routing and different transit providers

what's your speed .technically ax73 is not the top of wifi 6 lineup but it should be sufficient to support up to 1Gbps

Any Omada sifu over here? I'm having major headache in troubleshooting very high latency ping in my office, suspect ER707-M2 latest firmware causing the issue, the internet connection suffers whenever a latency spike occurs. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, need your expertise for aginet ex510

Have anyone tried this and use ethernet backhaul with AX53 v1 or any supported router?

I had upgrade ax53 to beta firmware that support backaul with ex510 but it seems only easymesh wifi.

Appreciate your help. Thanks
