Goods brought into Singapore are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST). However, inbound citizens, Permanent Residents and tourists are allowed a tax relief on goods valued up to:

$600 if away from Singapore for 48 hours or more, or
$150 if away from Singapore for less than 48 hours.

hi sifu,
just want to know
my aunty has a 3-room HDB in Sg.
Currently rented out to 3 tenants (1 room for 2 girls sharing), (1 room for a guy)
If I plan to live there, I have to share with the guy, because another room can't be rented out according to law, right?

Or I have to find a room in Jurong...

Legally she has to be staying in the unit herself
But physically, i dont think they are going to go inside and check...
Is she still staying there right now?

That's another issue, my aunt is not staying there, that's why one room is not for rent.

Then you can just stay in that empty room
Your aunt doesn't have to "declare" anything about whether she is staying there herself if i'm not mistaken
So while it's not supposed to happen, HDB isn't going to go into each unit to check 1 by 1 where the owner is staying at

When you get your PR IPA, part of the formalities IIRC is you need to get your company to sign / chop some form (forgot exact details). If you're serving notice your company could refuse to sign / chop it for you.

I think in that case you can possibly drag a bit and get your new company to certify the form though. IINM doesn't have to be the same company that you used to apply.
