u can renew your passport at the Malaysia Embassy @ Jervois Road...
but u can only collect your new passport on the next day...

better fix ur passport 1st
because once u renew ur EP (ur info follow ur old passport number)
then later if u renew ur passport u need to update ur new passport to MOM.
so better renew ur passport then renew ur EP. save the hassle.
yes u can renew ur passport at malaysia embassy.
i highly doubt many company practice this.

if u renew ur passport now, u lose 5 months
as ur expiry date will not be extended based on ur existing end date but ur submission date
embassy renewal will require 2 half days
1 morning for passport submission....may take the whole morning.
depends on luck and how many applicants are there.
i heard ppl start queueing for number from 7 something.
1 afternoon for passport collection, you may nego with your supervisor for this.
passport collection starts at 2.30pm....queue number starts at 2pm.
if u reach at 2, u may likely leave by 2.35pm

Can also do at johor UTC. I did mine last week, went in to JB and queued at the building before it opened at 8.30am, got my passport settled by 12.20pm, was back in SG by 1pm, checked in my flight at Changi by 1.40pm. Just take note to use manual lane at immigration until your passport is updated with your EP / blue IC.
Thanks for all for the value input.
Can I renew my EP even with less than 1 year of passport validity? I remember I read clause that it sure requires more than year validity to apply for EP.
