V20... perhaps maybe we should share more information at 1st threat.

Like which bank to open when u reach SG for ur 1st job.
Which telco is better, which telco is best for bucks.
Where to buy daily product / grocery is best / cheap etc.

Boring than shall go where to handout.
Activities and what's happening around SG?
Even perspective of getting call back to MY and how / which cheaper too etc? lol

Hi just want to ask
6 years experience working as business analyst in Sg drawing annual package of SGD80k is it underpaid?
*
how about total working experience? if 6 years flat at SG i dont see it is low, but also depends on responsibility and capability.

very subjective. if your MY experience 10+ thn SG 6+ thn different scenario as well.

I think he uses wrong word. Not drive but RIDE Msia bike into SG daily

Anyway AFAIK, Uber/Grab can't do cross border
*
uhmmmm maybe towards fundamental question, if I ride Msia bike into SG must go out by 24 hrs?

u can keep msia registered bike in SG land not more that 14days (inclusive sat&sun). must in/out before 14 days expiry.
if over, a penalty charge is applicable. these is a table of penalty charges in lta website, check it out. (I think sgd10 for the next 7days, If am not wrong)

bike >> vep sgd4 per day is applicable (except sat/sun/ph)
*
so vep is count per day, means 14 days vep thn would be sgd 4* 14 even js per entry? pay as per exiting SG?

https://www.lta.gov.sg/content/ltaweb/en/ro...oad-charge.html

oh the information is here.

means if 365 ( by in n our 14 days period everytime) total would be SGD 1460 per year.

Question about getting PR:

Beside work profile and working in Singapore for more thn 1 year under EP.
Is company profile important for sponsoring the PR too?

Whats the critical criteria?

hi guys, can i check if PR can buy landed house in SG?
*
everybody also can buy, just there is big difference of the amount tax you paying as non PR, PR and Citizen.

Executive condo or HDB, than Citizen can get new/1st hand. PR got certain rules etc.

That's not correct
He is asking about landed specifically, which has restrictions

You can buy a landed as PR but will still need to submit a request for approval

No, she will be considered as tax resident if she works continuous period of at least 183 days straddling two years. Mean if she resigns before April then she has to pay 15% tax.
*
What means by stradding two years?

183 days divide by 20 days, means would need to work up to 9 months only would consider tax resident right?

Another thing is if I get a Singapore job and work online for the Singapore work, but personally I am not in Singapore, how it is be counted? mmm...

183 days from the day she landed in SG, no matter work or without work, holiday or no.

It could be a freelance. meaning u from in MY and they pay u in MY. The alternate way they can apply a pass for u, u come down to SG and open a bank acc, then move back to MY. Earn SGD credited into ur SG bank acc, pay SG tax  biggrin.gif Lol
*
183 days landed in SG, means half a year thn would follow tax resident rate.

but on the earn SGD credited into SG bank acc, but physically not in SG. how it is counted? still follow tax resident rate or? << still counted with the 183 days rule?

Btw, thanks for replying. smile.gif

Not sure about this, but u need an employment pass for SG bank acc, to do so you are consider hired in SG, as long as you r paid in SGD then u consider as tax resident after 183 days. U should ask company HR about this, if they want to do this they should know more  biggrin.gif
*
I think employment pass would definitely required, also SG bank too, also salary paid in SGD.

Like just physically i am working remotely not in SG, than wonder how the tax being calculated.

So basically it working remotely and collaboration via skype etc.

Anyone working on HR sector and got answer for this?

My company is js way too small, dont have HR specific on professionally handle on HR thing.

Got any formula on this or they are in specific field? My boss recently also asking me to apply for PR, worked here since Feb (8 months).

I am thinking should I wait for a year or should I jump into PR ship now.

Any sensei to advice?

I thought PR need 2 years before they can apply to SC?

Anyway, let me share my profile during my PR application too. Applied 7 months after I got here, < 30 years old single male, tech sector, just got mine approved after 8 months of waiting.
*
Mind sharing salary range and position too? Maybe lets PM. I am on 8 months, tech sector too, but > 30 years old single male. It is my 8th months now. lol

QUOTE(WallChecker @ Nov 12 2017, 02:16 AM)
I landed on T4 by AA on few days ago. More or less the same to me compared to other terminal, sort of standardized look but more spacious. I think there is no skytrain directly to T4, so all passengers was directed to queue up to take bus to T2.
Depends on your profile, no formula everyone is unique and different from others. If your profile is strong can apply already by 5-6 months. Some time depending on luck also because every year they have quota, like clearance sales (higher chance when quota balance is high and vice versa). No idea when is their cut-off though, some said Feb some said Dec.
If u have not started to work (physically) on new company A, and there is still time before your first day, then drop them an email and a call to inform them that u are officially declining their offer. There is no need to serve out probation if u have not started working because u have not entered the employment with them.
Since there is no penalty and contractual binding terms, u should formally notify company A that u have accepted another offer.
There should not be any issue with MOM especially that u are PR and it is free market.
But first, ONLY do the above once u have receive offer letter from company B.

Thanks for advice, have a nice day.

Hi guys,

My EP is expiring this month end, Jan.

And my passport expiry on Dec 2018.

Should I go renew my passport 1st before renewing my EP? Can I renew my passport at SG instead?

Thanks for guidance.

Thanks for all for the value input. smile.gif

Is there price different from renewing the passport at SG and MY thn?

What means by lose 5 months by the way?
Can I renew my EP even with less than 1 year of passport validity? I remember I read clause that it sure requires more than year validity to apply for EP.
