If your bonus is contractual ie no matter what also company must pay, then you can negotiate/demand with them to give you pro rated.

If your bonus is discretionary ie company can choose to pay or not depending on company performance or whether the stars align, then almost-zero chance of you getting anything.

One alternative could be to ask the new company to give you a sign-on bonus in lieu of the one that you'll be giving up, but that's not really likely to happen unless you are super in demand as a candidate.

Otherwise SCB manhattan card has a version with s$500 credit limit, I'd guess that the approval criteria for that is super lax. Could be worth it to live with that low limit for a few months to build credit history if all else fails.

When you get your PR IPA, part of the formalities IIRC is you need to get your company to sign / chop some form (forgot exact details). If you're serving notice your company could refuse to sign / chop it for you.

I think in that case you can possibly drag a bit and get your new company to certify the form though. IINM doesn't have to be the same company that you used to apply.

That economist report is based on an "expat" lifestyle. If need car and nice condo and eat lots of angmoh food in SG of course mahal gila.

If you earn rm5k in MY, lots of ppl will say you should ask for sgd5k in SG to be fairly compensated.

But if you earn sgd5k in SG and wanna go back MY, lots of ppl will say must get at least rm10-15k to be fairly compensated.

Yes it's possible for EP application to get rejected. Reject liao the company can appeal, and even that can also get rejected. What %age chance of rejection nobody can really say, but factors like if the company now already a lot of foreigners and relatively fewer SC/SPR, nationality of employee, etc all play a part.

But generally Malaysian the rejection chance very low.
