About to buy minix neo u9-h. My main usage will be quasar. Notice that the minix internal storage is only 16gb. What are my options to increase the storage for quasar usage?
For stream 1080p movies, 16gb would be no problem but for 4k movies it is not enough

Hi guy, any idea how to install google play apps inside the Tian Mao TV box?
I got it this from my friend as he say his tv box cannot support for running 1mbps of streamyx...

Quasar allows setting external drives as storage drives. The hiccup is that, the ext drive has to be sufficiently fast enough to handle the required reads & writes speed of the addon.

The Google Play Store isn't an easy app to install and get running on most devices that ship without it.. Much less for heavily China-oriented/themed boxes. I suggest you forget about doing that and just stick to manual apk downloads and sideload. There are also alternative markets (as apps) that can make it easier.

I haven't test yet my internet speed at my kampung (tunggu balik kampung) But I got test with my another friend (who has a Unifi 300Mbps) really awesome.. Most of the channels include FOX taiwan and hollywood movies able to watch...

I plan wanna to install astro go and playunifi apps (which need rely to play stores) inside this Tian Mao box, then almost perfect already..
But haizz.. seems like still have a limitation for this box.

Astro Go and UniFi TV everywhere can just search the APK manually and install it. No need Google Play. Either they will work with this box or not I'm not sure.

What Fruitie says.. You don't need Play Store to install both apps. And your concern should be if they'll work on the box or not as they are both fussy apps.

just do sideload or install like aptoide store also ok. can browse any apps u want, then it will download the apk and install right away. just like google play

I am currently using Google Chromecast (first gen) for streaming YouTube and now trying Netflix. Ultimate plan is to cancel my 350+/monthly astro bill. Since I need another casting device, which device should I buy for streaming to TV? I want it to add other services, though not sure if the monthly bill will be high.

A bunch of people gave you fair answers already. Next thing you have to do is understand.. Asterruk is Asterruk! There's no direct replacement for what and how it works. This is why they are still in business. If you want to replicate it and legally, you'll probably end up spending more cash, time to setup, more stress and all without that reliability and ease of use associated with Asterruk's service.

Now, based on your request and responses.. You do not need another mere casting device.. What you need is a proper media player that can be somewhat molded and used for live TV, YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, etc. But most importantly, the live TV. Go read the page one thoroughly and the last 20 or so pages.. There's a wealth of information already available. Just read and digest. You'll either need some more help deciding between 2 or 3 devices...or you'll already know which to get.

If you feel the above is too much work for you? Then I'm sorry to inform you that the life of a cord cutter is not for you and you should stick to paying Asterruk to sort things out for you.
