If same spec and price, definite Beelink have better firmware support.
H96PRO Pro+ also come with ddr4 now on latest batch, firmware is very uncertain at the moment. DDR3 can run super celeron custom ROM not DDR4.

Wow that Beelink GT1 ultimate only half of the latest Minix price, ave to get one and see if the extra money for minix really give something. Before this, we only see the same hardware with half of the price, but this has extra 1GB RAM and 16GB storage.

Guys, for my first android tv box (zero experience) , do you think I should buy a RM500~RM600 box or a cheaper option like RM200~RM400 box?
Mainly will use for streaming english/chinese/hongkong drama or some movie. For movie playback from so far I am quite satisfied with my Samsung 4k TV (ks7000 series) . The downside is the Samsung custom OS have quite limited apps available. I would prefer it to be a smooth device without much lag.
Currently I am in between this 2 box as suggested by fellow forumers here.

Actually tempted to get those paid ahem iptv service but their box seems low spec and I am worry of sluggish performance.

In Korea now, one regret didn't bring my box here. I was in Jeju since yesterday and yesterday's hotel room was 60" inch Samsung TV and today's hotel is 55" Samsung as well, Korean and their patriotism.

Fast Internet with big TV.

But again, I won't have time to watch as well since busy sightseeing.

As TS, I can only keep 1st page updated and relevant...I don't know what they think...I can't control one liner "recommendation please" posts...

I get your point..valid.. Though we've done that and changing the title to discussion, that type of question will still be asked. Thanks to TS's detailed page one, the frequency has reduced compared to version 1 of this topic. By right it should be elminiated completely. But no, some folks will still come in and request as such. So my answer to such is warranted..
1. Get the Nvidia Shield (This will prompt em to either buy it or magically find out its way over their budget or overkill for their (also magically realized) requirements. OR
2. Read Page one, do some light research to narrow down models and return with a more appropriate question.
Bruh... you did a good job.. Don't sweat it. The thread title was different and still version one kept plagued with these sorts of question. Such a question only comes from one type of individuals.. The ones who purposely ignore publicly and easily available info and simply want to be spoon-fed. Don't know what they think we've been discussing among ourselves for 68 pages.

Youtube is already more than enough for me. I still have another media player for movie. With both, already overwhelm me the time spend on it.

I prefer spend more time at outdoor.

But if 2gb ram and android 6 is minimium spec, than I will try to look for such spec. I hate to replace again when the spec cannot support.

Those from China wan, is chinese interface or english ? Prefer english.

So the Beelink firmware support is sucks ? That is what I m afraid.

So what else box is good with the same price range ?

Or get a cheap wan low spec? No more support just throw away.
