hello guys...
I am not sure is it suitable to discuss PRS here, but would like to ask is this PRS - (CIMB-Principal PRS Plus Asia Pacific Ex Japan Equity - Class C) still good to go this year?

TQ

My personal preferred choice of fund as valuation in the Asia Pacific ex-Japan region to me is attractive.

Is a robo advisor which invest in ETF. If compared with FSM managed portfolio, I will say it's way way better. Why?
1) lower fees
i) (ETF vs UT)
ii) lower management fees vs FSM managed portfolio feed.
2) Better risk returns vs FSM managed portfolio
3) Is robo (using algothirm) vs human factor

If I’m not mistaken, seems like FSM Singapore and Hong Kong’s managed portfolio performing way better than FSM Malaysia, tho they are same company.

Past few weeks more and more start to grumble on their managed portfolio’s performance. Including my cousin too, holding balanced port from day 1 FSM introduce it with some promotion, so far return just 3.5% something...

Perhaps Malaysia’s team not really doing great job as compared to their peers..

Agree with you on stashaway.. jus tht I’m curious whether Malaysia’s Stashaway team capable to performe as their Singapore team... coz in FSM, they can’t..

Wats your say Ramjade? Maybe others hv different view

FSM SG fees is cheaper than Malaysia also. Not sure. Have to email them and ask are they using same algorithm as their SG counterpart.

Are You a Myopic Investor?

The Myopic Investor
– blindsided by temporary losses, they were unable to look at the longer horizon and unable to figure out the better choice.

In 1995, Benartzi and Thaler came up with myopic loss aversion (MLA) to explain the equity premium puzzle, where the S&P 500 earned over 6 percent annually more than Treasury bills from the studied period of 1889 to 1978.
MLA combines two factors – loss aversion and mental accounting. The former is explained above, while mental accounting deals with aggregation – whether securities are evaluated individually or as a portfolio, and how often they are evaluated. They defined a myopic investor as one who frames decisions and outcomes narrowly, i.e., making short-term choices rather than adopting long-term policies, and evaluating his gains and losses frequently.

xuzen, bcos it has words like hypothesis and experiments.....thus may this article be of interest to you too.

there was some input by the forummers of this topic too

read the latest info as at 3 july at page 139
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2064127/+2760

my personal conclusion was that the allocated budget for this youth incentive scheme had been exhausted...
well...my conclusion had been wrong many times and may be wrong this time too....

Thanks MUM for the quick response smile.gif

Yea I called PPA somewhere in last year and they told me that the distribution will be twice a year, i.e somewhere in mid year and end of the year.

Actually I invested RM200 for five months instead of a lump sum payment, only reached RM1k in Sept 2017 which had past the cut off date for first incentive payment in 2017.

So, now only I recall on the incentive payment as we are already in August 2018 but yet there isn’t any news on it.

Hopefully regardless the budget had been exhausted or not, the gov will still honour the promises made lol.

I read before, previuosly the cut off date is June and Dec each year, then about 4 months after the cut off date, the incentives would be credited into your funds.

(So if you reached 1K in Sept 2017, then the cut off date would be Dec 2017, then the incentive should be credited by End April 2018)

promises are and had been made,.....till the finished of the allocated budget of RM165 million.

I did ask FSM about this. So, all gov funds are now put on hold until further notice. Let's see what LGE will do.

the suppose incentives credit date was before GE14 ...
what should LGE do?
Get MACC to see where the allocated RM 165 million budget goes?

Well, apparently there is no budget allocated by the previous government. Not sure. Can check with PPA.
